Customer Reviews

For people that disliked Boom Beach/frustrated with boom beach

Alright I have been reading many reviews and noticed that most people are upset about how people on ur map are higher than you. THIS IS YOUR FAULT NOT SUPERCELL'S. The higher amount of vp u get the harder the people will be on ur map very simple, please understand that and if u find these higher bases just drop some vp. I also noticed that people said that they get attacked multiple times a day and lose ur resources. Once again this is ur fault. Always upgrade some before u get off it is the best way to progress in this game. Others have said that there have been connection problems and this is actually true it's happened it me a few time, but it's just a small fix for supercell.

Alright now to the good stuff. I really enjoy this game and I have some suggestions for future update. I think it would be cool if u could have 2 different troop types on the same boat. What I mean by this is maybe u have some heavies and u have 2 extra space on the heavy boat, maybe u could put a zookas on the heavy boat so u could fill ur boat. I also think that u should increase the power of machine guns and decrease the power of rocket launchers. And possibly increase the GBE on each lev of the gunboat.

In all this is a great game if ur frustrated then ur doing something wrong. If u dont play clash already it's another great game by supercell so u could play clash if ur getting bored. Anyways keep on booming and clashing.

Lots of fun!

I started playing at my older brother's recommendation and now I'm hooked! I check it every morning while I get ready for the day. I'm an avid player of RTS games, and this game always makes me reminisce of the days of Supreme Commander. I especially like how easy it is to gain gold, diamonds, and resources. The wait times can be a bit annoying, but you can just go do something else while you wait and I often have enough of the (freely obtained) diamonds to skip a lot of the waiting. The graphics are cute, the violence isn't over the top, and I especially like the background music and ocean sounds (very soothing!).

My only complaint is that I've had the app crash on me in the midst of attacking, which causes me to lose not only the attack but also kills all of my troops, which can be very expensive to replace! I also sometimes face connectivity issues when trying to scout enemy bases, although I'm not sure if that's the app or just my own internet connection, although I've never had such problems with any other apps so I'm inclined to think its the app itself. A few minor bugs, but no game ruiners.

Other than those small complaints, it's a very fun game and I can fully enjoy it without paying one penny!

What's the Point of an Experience Level?

This is an okay game, but what I'm finding the most frustrating, is apparently what's bothering a lot of other people as well. Yeah, victory points are all well and good, they let you know that you've beat some people and taken some bases, but when that becomes the basis of the opponent matching algorithm, you're suddenly facing people that have way too much free time and spare cash to blow. Why have an experience level if that plays no part in determining the level of the opponents that you're facing? I've got victory points because every now and again I get an AI that's ranked below me and I can actually beat them, not by beating other players that blow $300 a month on diamond upgrades so they can have their upgrades faster/easier. Base the opponents you see on the experience level, the number you see on the map, not the BS victory points that you can pretty much buy from the store. I know you have to make money, but you're obviously suckering some fools into giving you $300+ a month (as stated in some reviews).

So why not make it easier for those of us that either can't afford, or justify spending that much money on a game?

Best suggestion? Base opponents on experience levels, not victory points. Second to that, separate people that spend money from the causal players that don't.
