It’s there when you need it… and when you don’t...


I like the app for its very simple application. It helps me track my billable time for each of the customers I do work with. I don’t do work for these customers all the time so it does tend to get a little annoying to close the window for an entire day. That said, it’s sort to of a blessing because sometime I forget to start tacking the work I started for another customer so it will pop up and remind me. Then I can add the new work, it will automatically add that time that has already passed and if I need to add more time to it, its really easy. For a $9.99 yearly price, it deserves 4 stars from me. To get 5 stars, it needs a more robust export feature that allows you to customize how you want to see your tracked time in a report. Right now all you get is a confusing CSV or JSON file. That could be better.

Simple and useful; some modest weaknesses


PROS: Small footprint; easy to use

CONS: No tools to correct or edit

I’ve been using this for work for years and have tracked over 5,000 hours. It’s been useful and simple to work with. However, if you click wrong you might “cement in” hours you didn’t want to.

For example, when you log in to your computer in the morning, you'll be asked what you’ve done over the last 16 hours (or something like that). It’s very easy to accidentally click the checkbox to accept those hours in the presented category because you’ve been training yourself to click the checkbox all through the workday. Once that’s clicked, it’s impossible to remove that faulty block of time.

Some simple tools to edit entries (delete, re-categorize) would really help this app.

Adding some more immediately usable Export formats would also be very useful (like a padded text file version of the CSV, maybe HTML, and maybe some image formats, like a simple pie chart).

Now that this has become a subscription product, I hope there’s some budget for continued improvement.

This app is the one that finally helps me track my time! Constantly jumping from one project to another as I handle multiple projects, this app reminds me by asking what I am doing. Super nice. I only wish that I had some better reporting possibilities than the csv (a little crude) report I have at this moment. But I recommend this app above every other time tracking tool! It’s easy, simple and very effective! 5 start for helping me bill my customers better than before and hoping to see the reporting improvement soon.
