“Thanks to IXL, our students' performance has increased dramatically. Because they practice the skills daily, and because the site provides feedback, students are able to correct their mistakes and master the concepts easily.”
Waleska Batista, teacher, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, U.S.A.
“My favourite feature of IXL is that if you get a question wrong IXL will tell you how to solve it and what you did wrong. Another thing I really enjoy is that IXL provides awards and progress reports showing how you do over time. I think these two things are very effective because they make the student feel like they are actually studying and not wasting time.”
Student, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
“This program takes the frustration out of math because it allows the student to practice at his/her own pace and stay focused. It's okay if you mark one wrong because another one will be waiting. This is a great tool to have.”
Parent of a 4th grader, California, U.S.A.
“We like the rewards and certificates; our children work very hard to receive these! The reports are also brilliant in keeping us informed of the levels our children have reached and where they need extra help.”
Parent, Coolah, NSW, Australia
“My students are improving by the day, and some even stay in for recess to work on IXL!”
Helm Jackson, 5th grade teacher, Redmond, Washington, U.S.A.

What's New in Version 3.3.3
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
For me, I have to use this in school. It is pretty aggravating to do it and it is not enjoyable. It does make me learn some things.. or to practice different skills. The score system is down right terrible. It usually just makes me want to quit the lesson than to actually finish it. Schools need to get a better learning tool. It can be forgiving sometimes. I like the awards you get after completing certain skills and lessons. Maybe add a practice mode to let students/children practice? There is a lot of room for improvement and it needs to start happening soon. Like the challenge mode segments. After you finish the challenge mode, you have a new skill in that subject. You might even get to see if you got any awards. But maybe make it so that the challenge mode is optional? You only get one point added after you get a question right. If you get one wrong, you are taken away 5-10 points. This is not fair and can get kids really stressed out. Please fix IXL. We don't like it right now.
They get you to sign up, take your money, but do not provide login ID nor an interface to create a login ID/password. They did not respond to support request. Will be looking for a way to file a consumer fraud complaint. Would give it zero stars if that was an option.
Could be a lot better. It switches the numbers in the questions and it says the answer is wrong after saying that it is the right answer. Would not suggest. IXL is very stupid and needs to be redesigned and re skilled.
