No User Guide

If there was even the most minimal user guide the app would probably be great. It's really a struggle trying to figure out the features. YouTube videos are not narrated and virtually worthless.

Total Commander for the Mac

I've used Total Commander (TC) for about 25 years, and I can't use a Windows computer without it. Fortunately, I don't have this issue with a Mac, but I've wanted the same functionality every so often. I've tried as many as I could find, and I've liked two—Crax Commander and another one no longer being developed. I've bought Total Commander years ago, and gladly bought both versions of Crax Commander (App Store and the other one). My TC muscle memory is strong and Crax maps most of them to the Mac. I've even set my function keys to be just fn keys. Crax is not perfect (I have minor issues over network shares), but it is easily the best for the Mac. It is pretty responsive with a rich array of modifications. Definitely recommended for those used to Total Commander, and for those needing two-pane file manipulations.

Very buggy No way to find iCloud Drive or other similar folders

I thought $22 was super steep for something like this but I decided to buy it anyway because of the 5 star reviews.

I didn't run it for a single time where it did not crash, and it keeps asking for the start folder every time...

And there's no way to choose the iCloud Drive or similar folders without going to their specific location which in latest macOS is buried in the Library folder.

That's Apple's fault but still an app should include it as an easy to get to place.

No way to revert the settings in general to default (only the colors) so once I changed the font I didn't know what the original font was to change it back.

All in all this screams freeware not $22 app.
