This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.

Description

As skilled members of a disease-fighting team, you must keep four deadly diseases at bay while discovering their cures. Travel the world, treat infections, and find cures.
You must work as a team to succeed. The clock is ticking as outbreaks and epidemics fuel the spreading plagues. Can you find all four cures in time? The fate of humanity is in your hands!

Pandemic: The Board Game is a family-friendly cooperative game. Simple to understand and lots of fun, Pandemic: The Board Game puts you in an apocalyptic situation where you must work as a team to save the world.

*How to play
In Pandemic: The Board Game each player has a unique role with different abilities. On a turn, players will have four actions in order to cure diseases and save the world. They can remove disease cubes from the board; fly to a city in need; trade cards with fellow players; and much more.

At the end of every player’s turn, new cities are infected with disease cubes and Epidemics may arise. You must fight to prevent the outbreaks before they spin out of control.

In Pandemic: The Board Game, there is only one way to win: cure all four diseases before you run out of time!

Customer Reviews

Just one suggestion...

I agree with all the great reviews. Well worth the money and best on a tablet.
Suggestion: Could you add an option after "Victory" to continue the game until all four diseases are eradicated? That's what we do with our board game at home because none of us feel like we've won when there is still a massive epidemic in Dehli, Lagos AND Kinshasa AND Khartoum AND Johannesburg are threatening quadruple outbreak, and kids are dying in the streets of Beijing, New York, Paris, and Taipei. We reshuffle the city cards (we do not include any epidemic cards), and we continue infecting after each turn (shuffling when deck runs out). It can take as long as the original game (45 min), but it is so satisfying. As we approach the end of the game, we say, "Meet you in" whatever the closest research station is "for ice cream" or Martinelli's or whatever our celebratory food on hand is. And we clear the board and sit back knowing we have saved humanity. It always feels so false to see "Victory" on a screen where people are still obviously dying.
Just a suggestion. Great game.

Pandemic SOLITAIRE

The app is a great representation of the cooperative board game, except for one flaw. There is no multiplayer. If a friend and I want to play together, we are bumping heads trying to both look at same iPhone screen.

Best available solution is to connect the phone to a TV (I used lightening-to-HDMI cable, but Air Play Mirroring should work too, if you have an AppleTV). Then one player drives, and the others can watch and discuss. This isn't too different from how we might play using the board. But it loses the app a star.

Other than that, the app is well done and easy to use. A game in the app even runs more smoothly than when playing my board copy, because the computer can do the repetitious shuffling every epidemic and it never messes up the initial setup by forgetting to deal out hands before dividing the deck to mix in the epidemic cards. So you can just focus on the fun hard parts as you lose... and lose... and lose... and finally save the world!

Great game! Challenging and Strategic.

NO ADS! This challenging game is tough to win if you don't like planning ahead...which people who love puzzles and strategy will LOVE this. It requires great use of strategy and learning how to cooperate with other members of your team (not online, you control each member of your team during their respective turn) who all have unique skills that come with their roles. You must decide how to best utilize them as the game evolves. A great game for kids to teach them patience and feel the reward of victory for thinking their way through it.

One area for improvement...the more I've played Standard-level difficulty, the more the game seems to favor 3-infection cube cities after an intensify shuffle. This would not occur in normal board game play, and therefore feels unfair.
