As skilled members of a disease-fighting team, you must keep four deadly diseases at bay while discovering their cures. Travel the world, treat infections, and find cures.
You must work as a team to succeed. The clock is ticking as outbreaks and epidemics fuel the spreading plagues. Can you find all four cures in time? The fate of humanity is in your hands!

Pandemic: The Board Game is a family-friendly cooperative game. Simple to understand and lots of fun, Pandemic: The Board Game puts you in an apocalyptic situation where you must work as a team to save the world.

*How to play
In Pandemic: The Board Game each player has a unique role with different abilities. On a turn, players will have four actions in order to cure diseases and save the world. They can remove disease cubes from the board; fly to a city in need; trade cards with fellow players; and much more.

At the end of every player’s turn, new cities are infected with disease cubes and Epidemics may arise. You must fight to prevent the outbreaks before they spin out of control.

In Pandemic: The Board Game, there is only one way to win: cure all four diseases before you run out of time!

Waaay too many outbreaks

The graphics are great, the music creepy enough, and sound effects keep you engaged. What ruins the fun for me, however, is that the Outbreaks come way too often. Having played the board game version for years, honestly, I think I have won 'once' in playing the iPad version at least 50 times... and this is still on the Introductory level. Whether it's after an Epidemic or a previously Stage-3 city, the card shuffling algorithm seems to overwhelmingly preferentially choose the Stage-3 cities again and again for the subsequent Infections before you even have an opportunity to get there. This results in so many Outbreaks and Chain Reactions that the game is virtually un-winnable, in my opinion. Hopefully, the developers are listening and will look into a change in this; but I've gotten frustrated so many times now that I'm no longer interested in trying anymore. It's a shame because the game is really beautiful and certainly one the best otherwise.

Fantastic Game

I am completly addicted. Warning: It is HARD, but entirely fun while you lose. Game has great graphics and sounds and runs beautifully. I haven't encountered any bugs at all. I would like to see an update that would allow you to "tweak" the game with some "house rules". Such as not losing automatically when you run out of player cards. I would like to be able to reshuffle those. (Losing when running out of cubes makes sense but not the cards.). Also being able to play on to erradicate leftover diseases if you actually win would be nice too. We have done that at home and it is almost like a second game.

Amazingly addicting and difficult

I bought this app because I had seen the board game in local stores and after playing the app just once had to go out and buy the board game. This game is frustratingly difficult to win, but it makes you feel the pressures on those tasked with saving the entire planet from a disease. The people who gave it one or two stars don't understand how an RPG is played and that the "hard to remember" special abilities that are written in the rule book are what give the game depth. Over all an amazing game that will give me and my friends years of enjoyment.
