Rodeo Designers killed it on this one. Nice work. Now that I've played the campaign through (only on easy so far), I'd say it's UNDERpriced. Not only does this game give an excellent feel of the 40k Universe, but it plays exactly the way the original "Space Hulk" game felt and that is STILL one of the best board games made. But this incarnation is better because all the mechanics are there without having to remember anything. It's also an excellent tactical challenge on some levels. I've only finished the easy campaign, but I've gotten to know my little warriors and want to keep them fighting! The skills and equipment, again, are so faithful to the source material AND a lot of fun to customize. Obviously I love the 40k universe (I'm dying for some Eldar) but had to move away from the tabletop games because I don't have the time. This game lets me play on the fly, with just the right amount of "I hope they don't die on this mission!" without any "Ah crap! Well that was a waste of time!" Well done. I'm really blown away by everything: visuals, sound, variables, tactics, rewards, in-app purchases are truly optional. All of it. [note: do NOT quit a mission, just turn off game or phone, you'll be right where you left off]
Fun, re-playable, and interesting. Could be expanded...
This game is by far one of the best games I own. The story line is acceptable, the action is wonderfully animated, and the missions bring variety. There is also no pressure on the player to spend any money, like the games that make you dish out hundreds of dollars just to scrape by. I didn't know that there were even in-app purchases until I had gotten far into the game. However, I feel like in the missions more pressure should be placed upon the player. I've only played on Normal difficulty, but a time limit could be placed on the player. Otherwise, I will just peep out of cover, blast some Tyrannids in the face, and hide again. This brings me no to my next point: there should be a system implemented so that you could fire behind cover. I wouldn't mind an accuracy decrease and Devastator Marines not being able to, but this would save me lots of AP for the fighting to be more fast paced. Lastly, I would like more to be added. Anything to make the game deeper, like back stories for rare players, hidden lore or something of the sort, as well as more dialogue. New game modes, like pass and play, multiplayer, or survival would make the game so much better. That would take it from a good game, to a great one.
Awesome but accuracy is messed up badly
Could use more chapters since the deathwatch is made up of many more chapters than the 3 present. Which is disappointing to me. Saw the pc version has other chapters, which is disappointing that they aren't put into this game as a dlc at least. Same with multiplayer. Wish terminator armor could be got which would be awesome. Would pay to download the enhanced edition as dlc, why not do this rodeo instead of porting to steam... Edit: found out rodeo is dead as a company so don't expect this game to get any better or more updates.....very very disappointing since I loved all their games. Accuracy is very messed up. I have 100% accuracy on over watch and I still miss 50-60% of my shots.....(testing with knight breaker with 76% +30% on over watch and On average 2/6 of my shots hit....that's roughly 33% accuracy.....not even close to 106%....)plasma guns overheat way way too much (about 50-60% of the time) Ur RNG is way messed up....seriously has nobody else noticed the accuracy problem or is it just my game for no reason???
