Tales from Strix: The Lair reviewed by LynxMinx

Hi Snooper! Thanx for the heads up! This time it wouldn't matter if there were RATS! Because I am a guest at the hospital for the time being. I must be very sick because I wasn't afraid of the mouse! The Drs. even looked at the game! (LOL)
This game was good. The graphics were beautiful and the puzzles were fun! It wasn't a typical HO, but there were a few frags. Not too bad though. The story was easy to follow and the journal was helpful as well. It could have been a bit longer for the price and also include a bonus adventure. Also, there was no map, and a teleport would have been a tremendous help. At least eventually they had portals! I am removing one star because there should have been more gameplay for the price, and it was a tad glitchy! It was not as good as some of the BigFish blockbusters!

Good game, but too short

I enjoyed this game. There were lots of beautiful scenes and the story was fairly entertaining. It was too short, though, for 6.99. Still, one of the things I really enjoyed was that most of the locations were places that you'd actually want to visit. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's nice not to have a story filled with ghosts and grimy, decaying scenery. It's good to see mountains and flowers every once in a while :)
Overall, if you want an entertaining game that you can play for maybe four hours, and you don't mind forking over $7, then this is the game for you.

Another short game

Have the game distributors succeeded in getting us accustomed to these short games? I'm already to the third (and final) location and I haven't been playing that long. It seems like they're providing less product for the same amount of money. And, judging by the other reviews, they have successfully gotten us to lower our expectations.
This game specifically is going to be short. The story and graphics are okay. THERE'S NO MAP! Hint button works well and recharges quickly, however.
An okay game plus short length equals 3 stars.
