Not terrible

iPhone 5s running iOS 9.3.5. Scanned some old B&W negatives from the early 1980's. Resolution isn't great, but I have no idea if it's the film or the app. Probably the film. Scanned a couple dozen pix and no app crash.

Does seem to drain the battery quickly. Lost about 20% battery in maybe a half hour, but more noticeably the phone was getting pretty hot while the app was running. Would recommend removing it from your case while using this app so the case doesn't help hold in the heat.

I guess this whole lomo setup is abandonware, but it was a pretty good idea. If you have lots of negatives and don't want to ship your negatives to someplace to have them scanned, give this app a try or do what another reviewer said and use the native camera and some other app or desktop program to process them. Cheers!

Right off the bat, I would like to note just how impressed I am with the way this app drains your battery. It is incomparable to every other app I have ever used, including big games like Infinity Blade. I'm pretty sure it drains my iPhone 6s battery at 1% per minute. Dunno how y'all managed that.

Use the film scanner, but not the app. Just upload the negatives into Lightroom and adjust there.

Great idea

Now fix it, I mean it crashes every time I use it.. Please figure it out because this is a important part of the scanner. --its too soon to say its a fix, but deleting and re-downloading the app improved its function. However after using both the iOS and Droid app, the Droid is better, sorry. Dec 2015 still no update :( needs to save scans to Camera Roll or folder in Photos.
