Structured interval training has long been known to generate significant improvements to your cycling performance. Hurts Ergo offers a series of basic workouts to get going on your indoor trainer, once mastered there's access to the online ErgDB library containing over 600 unique workouts.
Hurts Ergo guides you through structured intervals using a target power value based on your own Functional Threshold Power (FTP). To best make use of the app you'll need access to a power meter, or a Wahoo Fitness KICKR trainer; both of which are optional.
- Saved workouts now use correct time zones
- Strava uploads include distance resolving issue whereby Strava charts would not show any data in charts
- Display and record cadence data from connected power meters

No longer supported
I bought this app thinking I would be able to download and use the 600 workouts mentioned here and on the developers website. Unfortunately that database no longer exists (73 Summits) and if you click the button in the app to acces the DB it will hang the app. No problem, I will write my own and upload them. Well that functionality also does not work. I tried to upload erg files using the method on the developers website and found that I cannot write to the favorites folder. I have sent two emails to the developer for help and never received a response. So I am left with a useless app with 5 basic workouts. Total waste of time and money.
Easy to Set Up & Start Training
Was very easy to get set up without having to feed a bunch of data or complete user profile info that most apps want for their own use.
I use it with Kickr and export my Training Peaks workout and in a matter of seconds I'm able to start my ride. Best thing, I don't have to think about anything - no watching the wattage or the time off or on. Just follow what my coach has for me. Perfect.
Useless - can no longer access or create workouts
I used to really like this app. It was simple, did what I needed and it was free. I even paid for the link to Strava so I could support the development.
Unfortunately the 73 summits database that had all of the workouts has been removed, making this app mostly useless.
I’m still hopeful that the developer Lachlan Hurst will find a way address the issue.
