A brilliantly polished app
Slingshot is an amazing personal photo and video sharing app. Despite what a lot of people say about it being Facebook's version if snapchat, I would disagree. Not only is the UI of slingshot cleaner and more interactive, the app itself offers more opportunities for social interaction than any other comparable app. By keeping things simple and doing away with direct messaging other than in the format of reaction threads, Slingshot allows users to engage with one another. Through this app I have managed to make a bunch of new friends and learn about places and cultures that I would never have experienced. I give Slingshot five stars and I greatly recommend it to anyone that is looking for new social experiences.
I don't get it!
What is this a dating app? When people reply to you they have to make a video or take a picture of themselves. The only method of communication is to make yourself cute or be funny so it feels like a dating app and certainly not normal conversation. I finally got a reply to one of the slings that I did. I was wiping something off my screen and accidentally deleted it so and I have no idea if this person is a gross stalker or if he said something normal & human. I think I'm going to have to delete the app simply because I would feel uncomfortable if my husband was using it so I'm sure he would sit feel the same way. I'm going to give it another month or so since it still is in development and since I "drink the blue Kool-Aid of Facebook".
Bring Back locked shots
When this app first came out I loved how you had to send a shot to see a shot, but since version 2.0 I started to dislike this app.
First You should allow someone to send a shot to any follower they choose, not just sling it for everyone to see. Some people want to sling something to a particular person.
Second you should bring back locked and unlocked shots, I loved the idea of send one to see one or just send one. That allows people to engage in the app and interact with there friends rather than just see what they are up to.
This app would be my fav if these features were brought back.
