I also have the "Citi Double Cash" although it says "world elite" on the back but it allow me to use this app. However my "Capital One Quicksilver" is also a world elite and it does allow me to use the app. After a little research it seems there is a scam going on with the "Citi Double Cash" as they are being branded as world elite (higher fees) but are not actually giving the "world elite" benefits.
Not eligible
Like many other reviews I've read. I too am a Matercard Citi world elite card holder who has had the app before. I purchased a new phone and tried to reinstall the app and it wouldn't accept my card. I spent an hour being transferred to six different people who had no idea how to help me. Also, there is no custom support number for the app so I don't even know who to call. Very disappointed !!
Incorrectly says "Not Eligible"
When I attempt login using the first 6 digits of my Citi AAdvantage card, the app returns with an error message saying the service is only available for Mastercard World or World Elite customers. But here's the thing...my AAdvantage card literally says World Elite on the back. Similar issues reported from several other users, including Citi Prestige cardholders.
