Minor bug fixes and performance enhancements
This app has been working fine since I first downloaded it. Before today that is. Today I was not logged in even though I set it to stay logged in. Then I couldn't log in or register even after trying 5-10 times in a row. I deleted the app so I could download it again. At first it wouldn't work then after it worked, I still couldn't log in. They're "experiencing technical difficulties". Are you kidding me?! I decided to make an order and ask about the free ice cream deal that I saw. The cashier told be the deal wasn't available. She didn't offer an explanation or a compromise or even an apology. She couldn't be bothered to smile. She took my money then proceeded to ignore me. Why do I keep coming back to this crappy place? Unlike their slogan, McDonald's is not worth it. Save yourself some aggravation and don't download this terrible app.
Horrible Update, Has Had Technical Difficulties for Months and counting...
Before the "new bold" update rolled around, I used this app with no problem. When the new update came out, it seemed to have logged me out of my account, taking all of my "deals" away. I began to re-enter my login information, but it only spit out the classic response of, "We are experiencing technical difficulties Error Message..." After a few weeks, I uninstalled the app hoping to reboot it thinking I had maybe downloaded a glitch. I was wrong. The same message came up and I have not been able to use any coupons for over a month!
I somehow was able to bypass this "glitch" while being able to access the deals without being logged in. Since today, McDonalds is offering free Soft Serve cones to anyone who has their app and were also giving away that golden cone which is good for free ice cream, I prompted myself to log in so I could enter to win. My bypass of the glitch had disappeared and I was now facing the same "Technical Difficulty".
My mom purchased the new iPhone 7 Plus and she downloaded the app too. I was relieved/outraged to find out that I was not the only one experiencing these problems.
Doesn't even deserve one star but I had to get the message out there!
Multibillion $ company still gets it WRONG
So this app is a whopping 121MB. Holy cow. Why????
There is no reason for this to be any higher than 65mb at most. Get rid of the flash media in this app. It does nothing. It makes it harder to get to the deals.
Fix your login/database system. Keep getting the "perpetual fries of death" or PFOD. Why does it always log me out/ask to log into my Facebook and then, stay stuck on the fries? Wifi/cell...makes no difference. The app is having a hard time communicating with the outside login methods.
My review from months ago:
Every time it seems to log me out. Then when I bring up the app to the checkout window it says "please log in". Going through the whole log-in phase takes forever. And there are people in line behind me. Even if I try this ahead of time, it still takes 5-8 minutes to get this to work. Why?? Very badly written app. I had to tell them, "I'm sorry the app is having difficulty, I may have to come inside and pay."
Maybe once in our lifetime we will see this corporation put out a solid app and not cheap out on the development team.
