Translit Keyboard lets you use your normal English QWERTY keyboard to type letters in another alphabet — a technique known as "transliteration". For example, with the Russian keyboard, you can type a word like "ponchik" and see it transform into "пончик" right as you type. You don't have to wait or press any buttons: just type it out like it sounds! And since Translit Keyboard is a third party keyboard, you can use it in almost any app.
If you write in multiple languages but type fastest on an English keyboard, or if you're learning a foreign language and want to avoid studying an entirely new keyboard layout, this app will be perfect for you.
Included keyboards: Russian, Ukrainian, Armenian, Belarusian, Georgian, Greek, and Macedonian.
If you would rather use the standard phonetic layout for your Russian typing, give the Russian Phonetic Keyboard a go: http://itunes.apple.com/app/id937350067

Good but slow
It’s great for russian and easy to use but there seems to be some sort of delay when typing. Makes it frustrating. Please fix if possible!
Not for iPhone
I tried paying for this app for use on my iPhone but it seems to be only for use on ipad. On my phone it somehow puts that keys in the standard positions for russian, not the phonetic one.
Good solution for transliteration users
As an occasional transliteration user I found this product more intuitive, than a phonetic keyboard and way more convenient, than copy and paste transliteration apps. It allows to utilize your qwerty typing skills without learning a new layout.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
