Ratings and Reviews
Just all right...
Not so sure why so many game designers are obsessed with creating grungy, nasty-looking backgrounds and objects. Frankly, the moldy bedsheets scene in the chicken hut about made me barf - not fun to look at. The story was interesting, but there wasn't much challenge to the puzzles - a lot of "oh, there's a squirrel, so I guess I need to find nuts somewhere" and actually being told straight out that you need this, this, this and that to complete the puzzle, rather than letting you figure out what you need on your own. And the final chapter was way shorter than the others. It felt like they ran out of time and were going to miss their deadline, so they cut it short without fleshing it out. Finally, I found the "Write a review to get a sequel" pitch at the end a little disingenuous - since there was no bonus game, a lot of people are thinking they have to write a review to get the bonus game. Nope, I'm pretty sure all they meant was that if you write a review, it will encourage them to develop a sequel.
It's so nice to play a game that play's flawlessly! The past few games by Big fish have had terrible issues. I wish G5 would bring us these games more often as you'd be a top competitor for BF. Why so far and few? Artifex Mundi puts out the absolute best games I've ever played! About the game..interactive active map that shows areas you can do something immediately, original and compelling story, great voice overs tons of hos which I don't usually love but they were well done, mini games perfect etc.. I don't have a single complaint about this excellently executed game! Thanks G5! Please please please don't wait so long for the next one!
Imagine that...actual reviews on a review page!
Great game! G5 always puts out some awesome stuff! I actually quit buying Big Fish games because I got tired of going to read reviews & instead, having to sort through a bunch "reviews" that are actually several people that evidently don't like each other enough to just communicate through social media, like most of the rest of the world, filling up the review page telling everyone their life story, fears, ailments, etc. Not only enjoyed the game, enjoyed finding reviews on the review page!
