A modern retelling of the original vampire tale recounted in text, email and even voice mail.

Fast-paced and haunting, iDRAKULA is too juicy to resist. Based on the original text of Bram Stoker’s classic gothic vampire novel, iDRAKULA will thrust you into the chilling correspondence between friends as they try to uncover the truth about an eerie Romanian Count.

Mina and Jonathan’s friend Renfield has been admitted to the psychiatric ward. Seems he went crazy while working for the Count. Jonathan’s taking over for him at the Count’s castle and soon realizes there might be good cause for Renfield’s breakdown. Something terrifying is going on and Jonathan could be next to lose his mind—or his life. Mina must try to solve the mystery before it’s too late…

Praise for Bekka Black’s print edition of iDrakula:

"Bekka Black expertly interweaves story and technology in this timely Dracula tale." --Rebecca Maizel, author of Infinite Days

“Bold, innovative, and warped, Bekka shakes the dust off of Dracula's cloak and creates a whole new genre of literature. iDrakula is an insanely imaginative tour de force." – James Rollins, New York Times bestselling author

“Forget the modern vampire, who sparkles in the sunlight and struggles with the desire for blood. Black brings Bram into the modern age with e-mails, smart phones and websites, all while preserving the brooding heart and vicious nature of Dracula.”--Kirkus

This is a clever, yet still scary re-telling of the classic Dracula. There are texts, voicemails, and emails that trail behind Jonathan Harker and his travels to the infamous Count. As someone who was ready to put "sparkly" vampires behind me, this was a refreshing story.

It's a day by day story and if you pay $1.99 you get the rest of the story as well as an option to read it at once. I saw other posters complaining that they had to pay $9.99. That's only true if you want to purchase the ebook that this is based off of. Personally I want to buy the book now, after reading this!! But you don't have to.

I personally would recommend trying to do it day by day. I read it all at once and I wish I had waited so it would have lasted longer!! But anyways, this is a good purchase and you won't regret it.

The original Dracula is one of my favorite books, truly scary (even after several rereads)and the format is part of the (scary) fun. This modern version does a lot of the same thing - suspense with a 21st century twist.

After reading the free parts, I immediately bought the full version, and I'm waiting (with difficulty!) for the days to "open" on their own time - more (scary) fun!!

Great work, and I look forward to more creative genius from this author!!

Good retelling

I really enjoyed this. My only problem is that on some days the oldest is at the top, so you read from the top and progress down, and other days the newest is at the top, so you have to start at the bottom and go up. And one of the dates was entered with the year 2018, so that entry is way out of sequence. I'll be rereading it, trying to pay closer attention to time stamps
