Just a few tune ups and it could be great

This app has a lot to offer first off. I use it for a lot of my Movie/Video Game/Comic news and updates. However if i ever wanna find an article i read for example: the previous week, the search engine will bring up articles and videos from 10+ years ago even when i type in the exact title of the article! So if u wanna show a friend an article later on, you better screenshot it or be willing to scroll down the timeline for two hours just to find it, cause otherwise you're screwed. Another major problem is the slideshow function. Sure i can scroll through all the images they have on the slideshow, but i can't read the captions for them so i'm basically just staring at a list of Spider-man's greatest villains but i can't see why they ranked Doc Ock as number 4. However again, this app has a lot to offer and with a few areas straightened up it could be amazing. However it doesn't feel like this is a priority for IGN. But asking as you were willing to put up with these issues (plus a few more that probably didn't come to mind) i would recommend this to anyone who appreciated Geek/Nerd culture.

Auto playing videos again

This issue keeps popping up what feels like every other IGN app update but videos adverts are automatically playing again which is super annoying. Simply scrolling down the list of articles prompts any video to stop my music, podcast or whatever I'm listening to and automatically starts playing the video ad. It'd be great if you guys could kill this bug once and for all and keep it dead rather than bringing it back every other month.

Can we get an ad free experience if we pay a few bucks please? Being forced to watch the same four or five videos month after month gets old really fast. I'm only choosing videos / articles I'm 100% positive I want to look at just so I don't have to suffer through the same adverts over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Better than mobile website on iOS (no constant reloading)

On my original iPad mini this really the only way to use the ign website without constant "there was a problem ... The page will reload". I'm not sure how the internet works on newer iOS devices but this app will make the videos work, unlike puffin browser, and not crash too often, like safari. Although, normally I prefer to only use the browser for ease and to save on the iPad's wonderful non upgradable internal memory situation it's really not an option for me here.
