Quick and Efficient

This app has come a long way. It sports a simple structure an makes it very easy for scrolling through. There is less clutter for your eyes to sort through, the same cannot be said about the actual website. The customization options are a nice touch, but I'm curious as to what articles might be missed if you do not select a category upon your 1st sign in.
The only hang ups I've experienced are the repetitive advertisements before every single video you watch...EVERY video. But the bills must be paid, and advertisement is what pays them.
The other catch is in the comment experiences, making/posting a comment is easy....someone's, but being able to view a past comment and other's responses can be a hassle. Disqus is used to handle the comment portion of IGN articles and it is a sign up mess when first joining. On top of which, the functionally is spotty at best. God help you if you try to edit while typing mid response, it just doesn't work, and will only delete but won't let you add. Truly I miss the "old days" before disqus took over the comment portion.
Overall, I love the simplicity and function of IGN app itself. It's the small details (being able to clear search histories etc.) that will make this app very smooth.

Best Entertainment Site Period

IGN is my go-to source for anything related to comics, video games, movies and television shows. You can tell that the good people at IGN work very hard to bring us the best insightful articles, videos, updates and reviews on anything and everything that is cool and worth note. The best thing is that everyone at IGN are fans of all the things that a geek like me is a fan of, and that is what makes IGN work. You can instantly tell that the people at IGN love what they get to do for a living because they get to share the latest and coolest things with us, fellow fans of these amazing and innovative genres. (That reminds me, IGN even includes articles on the latest in science and technology discoveries and innovations!) Also, all the articles are easy to follow because they are in a streamlined scroll down format, and if you don't have time to read an article of interest, you can simply save it to your read list so you don't have to go looking for the article later. Simply put, IGN is made by fans for the fans. Five Stars!

Used to be a nice app

Once upon a time I loved visiting ign. I'm currently trying to find a new go to video game and entertainment news site. Ign has become very ad heavy. Their desktop site shifts around like crazy because all the ads have to load and move around. I can't stand the app anymore because every time I click on an article, I have to load it twice. The screen always goes blank after the first load. The video player takes forever to load and doesn't work half the time. You also usually have to sit through a 30 second commercial. I honestly think Naomi Kyle is the only thing keeping me at ign
