What's New in Version 8.6.0
- A fix to prevent unexpected app opens when paired with Apple Watch
- Performance improvements and bug fixes
Was great. Needs work.
The app works great for listening to music and is very intuitive. I listen to a local talk radio program (Mark Belling on 1130 WISN) that has now added a listen after airing feature like a podcast. A few issues exist with this feature that are greatly missed from the actual podcast that was previously available. The new version is streaming not downloaded so it uses data. When listening while also using GPS the app stops working when turn by turn directions are announced. It is very sluggish, crashes and often randomly starts playing music stations I have never heard of before right in the middle of streaming the talk radio program. Unfortunately if this does not improve I may have to discontinue my listening to this program for others that are available as a downloadable podcast that works flawlessly.
Update: It’s not often I find a decent product or service that declines in it’s quality so rapidly. The local radio program that I stream cast after the live airing no longer works. It randomly tries to play old previously listened to episodes, not the one I selected but it never plays anyways.
Good but could be better
Honestly, this app is better than pandora. However, my main two issues with it are the dislike feature and the song selections when you choose a specific band or artist.
1. Dislike feature:
The problem with it is that if you click the dislike button on a song, that same song will keep coming back later until you’ve disliked it 3-4 times. Then after about a month it’ll come back again
2. Band/artist song selection:
My major issues with this feature is that when you choose a band you want to listen to, the app will play almost anything but that band/artist. For example, if you choose fallout boy the app will play a fallout boy song once in every ten songs or so. Therefore what is the point in being able to select an artist. Now I’m not saying I don’t want to hear things outside of the band/artist I have chosen, however, it would be nice to hear the chosen band/artist at least every other song or so.
Good app. BUT!!
I heart is nice, but I keep hearing the same commercials over and over. It’s gotten to the point I will turn it off. This morning I was listening to my local station on iHeartRadio and the show went to a commercial and the commercial lasted 15 mins and it played the same commercials over and over. Then once it was done. It went back to my show and it had 5 mins left of my radio show. Needless to say the commercial played the same ones over and over. Also iHeartRadio has a commercial on the local station saying that Pandora runs over the show. Well I haven’t seen no change in iHeartRadio either. Same oh commercials over and over. Like there’s in one that monitors iHeartRadio. 3 commercials that play over and over is autism with tony Braxton and the family that is at the ball game and talks about what child seat should be used and also another is about being a foster parent. I’m not looking down on these but when you hear them over and over it really gets you irritated! Fix it or you will have 1 less listener and I’m sure there will be much more to follow.
