Customer Reviews

I use to love this app but,…

Yes, i use to love this app. Until they took away fan topics. I use to spend hours reading fan content. But now what's the point? They took it away. You can't even read the old topics that used to be here. It's completely gone. All the content is completely gone. Also one thing I did like that you had changed was that my lists(subcategories that you create yourself) were actually in alphabetical order. Which made the entire enterprise of trying to find one out of 100 different subcategories that I had easy to find. But that lasted only about a month or so. I opened up the app just now to find the list are all scrambled again. I honestly don't know what I will be using this app for any longer. I am so very disappointed with this app now. I don't usually write reviews about apps. But since I had, at one time, loved it I had to tell you what you were doing wrong now. I truly hope you bring back the topics area. And I also hope you put peoples subcategories back in alphabetical order again. Otherwise, like I said above, what's the point of even having this app on ones phone. Bitterly disappointed user.

One flaw

I've been using IMDb religiously for 15 years, and I love having an app, since I never use a computer anymore. It needs improvements though. Firstly, IMDb needs to BRING BACK THE MESSAGE BOARDS. Half the reason I used the app was to communicate with other users when I had questions about a film or leave opinions. There were so many awesome topics to read through. I really miss it. A couple other things that need fixing is being able to write a film review. I would love to write reviews, but, unless I'm missing something, I'm unable to do so in the app, which seems silly. Lastly, and also in regards to user reviews...reviews should be in order according to most recent. Otherwise, why write a review for a film? No one is going to scroll through hundreds of reviews to get to the most current ones.

It's a love hate relationship with this app

Decent enough app overall but the ads are intrusive and annoying. How many times per session do I have to dismiss the same ad? It's not like I'm going to change my mind the third time I see it in the span of two minutes. Also, it's really annoying to have the MetaCritic site auto-play trailers. Great way to tick off mobile users in a hurry: by wasting their data. Otherwise, the functionality is generally good and, in some ways, better than the web interface.
