Bug in the “add to calendar button “
The app is functional and helpful regarding the notification of lectures, symposiums, and events. I have personal ideas on how to improve the quality of a more intuitive user interface (I.e. maybe connecting the map feature and location given by classes), but all in all room for improvement here and there. One main concern is a bug that doesn’t allow me to add lectures/events to my calendar and go back, as in I have to exit the application. A few bugs that decrease the quality of user transition etc., but overall a helpful and informational app!
map is annoying
How do you turn off the bouncing 'Self Guided tour' button on the map?
I wish I was there
I am not a Standford student, nor am I afiliated with it. I am not even close geographically to it (I live thousands of milles away). Still, I wake up an hour before "my" first course starts (according to this application), bathe, then "head for class" (I lay down on the floor). I "take the class" (imagine for 45 minutes a professor giving the assignment with a full class of imaginary students paying attention) then have 15 minutes to stroll on "campus" (my imaginary idea of it). After a few classes I attend the "cafeteria" (I eat in my kitchen but with my eyes closed imagining all the students and faculty eating beside me), take a "long walk along campus" (I walk in my threadmill while imagining otherwise) then head for the first of the "afternoon classes" (again lay down on the floor and imagine it). All in all I must say that I am dreaming my dream, and all thanks to this gadget!. I can see what is happening in real time and access some interesting information. I have met many people with similar interests and while they are a little quiet (I do all the talking) they are very agreeable. I never imagined graduating from Standford but my grades are top notch. Last month I met a very clever girl and now we are engaged (we take a few classes togheter). When I graduate I plan on getting a very well paid job and moving to a nice house with my future wife. Thank you iStandford for making all my dreams come true!
