Terrific app but could use more sort/search options

I've been using the Kindle app for years and it is my preferred e-reader app. Pros: Well, there are so many, but mainly I like that I can obtain a book immediately and it doesn't take up any more space in my small house. I have all of my books available to me wherever I am so that I can read whatever I want wherever I want. (No more wishing I would have brought a different book or finishing a book and not having another.) When at the grocery store, I can look at a recipe in one of my many cookbooks on Kindle to see what I need to buy to make it. Backlighting, font, and size options mean I can read even if I've forgotten my reading glasses or have difficulty reading the publisher's chosen font. Even if I have a physical version of a book, I often also get a Kindle version. Cons: Searching is either of a book title (when in the library) or specific content (from within a book only). I would like to be able to search for specific content or content that I've highlighted or bookmarked within a collection or even the whole library. I have so many Kindle books now that I sometimes have trouble remembering where I've seen some content, as I often have quite a few books on one subject. Also, I would like to have more options for arranging my books. Physical books I can arrange on a shelf in any order I please. That cannot be done with the Kindle app.

Love my Kindle

A few years back my daughter purchased the kindle for my birthday. Of course I acted all happy and thanked her for the thoughtful gift. However inside I'm saying to myself OH NO I need my actual books to hold and save, pass on to others. BUT I have to say once I started using the kindle I was thrilled with it. I'm able to slip it in my purse and take it with me anywhere I go, doctors office, hair salon, and to work so during my lunch I can relax and read while eating. We've recently taken a cruise and it was so much easier carrying around the kindle versus bulky book. Also the idea of not purchasing the same book twice is great, as I've done this in the past with books, the fact that Kindle app advises you that you've already purchased it is great.
Now I use the kindle app on my kindle reader and my iPad depending on were I am. All the books are saved in the cloud so all I need to do is sort/search and click. Love it.

I love Kindle!

I never thought I would like Kindle and refused to use it for years. I'm almost 60 and I like(ed) books I could hold onto. Then I heard about BookBub an app that sends suggestions of books you might like at very reasonable prices and sometimes free. Now I am Kindle's biggest fan. If I have my phone I have a book to read. Anywhere and everywhere! You can size the print from tiny to huge so anyone can read. I actually bought a Kindle Fire but use my phone more because I always have it on me. I can switch between my phone, iPad, cell phone and Kindle Fire to read the same book simply by tapping the word sync. I'm not good with computers so these apps have got to be super simple for me to use. I urge anyone that loves to read to try the kindle app for your phone. I'm thrilled with it and wish I hadn't waited so long to try it!
