People of all walks of life since ancient times have found knots both fascinating and essential. Knots are used in sailing, climbing, tree trimming, jewelry making, and everyday tasks such as hitching a load to your vehicle.
Whether you are a novice or you have experience with tying knots, Knot Guide will assist you!
NOTE: Knots that are also known as another name are now also listed by the other name (eg. Square Knot is also listed as Reef Knot).
What's New in Version 5.7
-added 2 new knots: Tumble Hitch, Pile Hitch

This is an excellent and extremely useful visual aid for novice and seasoned knot heads to learn how to tie many knots. Start with a few basic knots like overhand, then figure eight, and slip knot. Learning these knots will only take a few minutes but practice until you can tie them with your eyes closed. Just another minute or so to master these with eyes closed. Then you can move forward as your interests or cord usage demands. Safety note: knots are very handy tools and most are designed and work very well for the purpose and material intended. It should be your goal to learn the proper application of any knot you tie in the real world. You can accomplish most any common knot task safely with the knowledge of six to ten knots! Enjoy this!
Hands Down the Best Knot App
This App is well thought out and skillfully put together. It truly can be all things to all people.
You can organize the knots in several different ways with a single click. App will even let you sort out your favorites and get to them with, yes a single click.
It's entertaining when you have
The series photos work as well or better than videos.
I'd like to see them add new knots on a more regular basis. It's by no means necessary but I would like to see strength and efficiency tables added. Maybe some information about the different about which knots work better with what kinds of line.
Maybe a page or two dedicated to paracord types and where it shines and more importantly where it doesn't.
This app is great. There are lots of knots in here all arranged into categories based on type. The step by step instructions couldn't be any easier to follow and there's even notes on each knot. This app is crisp, clean, and has saved me several times in no signal zones since it's non-web-based. Well worth the money and you may learn some self reliance.
