KINDERGARTEN TO FIRST GRADE READERS will love this library of 12 books. Each Learning A–Z library contains ten books on that reading level, the free sample book for that level, and the free sample book for the next level to challenge readers to expand their reading skills. Developmentally appropriate sentence construction, vocabulary, and engaging illustrations make it easy for readers to feel confident about their skills.
Learning A–Z provides materials delivered online and through the iTunes Store that help children learn to read, write, and discover the wonders of science. All our materials are leveled so that children can access information at their developmental level. Our leveled readers begin at level aa with labeling objects. In level A simple sentences are presented. With each level thereafter the sentences get more complex and the words become a little more difficult.

ReadSmart is a set of patented technologies created by Language Technologies, Inc. for improving reading comprehension, speed, and enjoyment and is used in a variety of publishing fields. ReadSmart's algorithms analyze text to give document-specific results: the arrangement of text for a document is optimized while preserving the designer’s layout. Once a digital book has been created using ReadSmart technology, nothing is lost and it retains the look and feel of the printed edition, not a generic electronic document.
What's New in Version 1.4
Can't touch screen.
Very annoying because you can't touch screen with your finger while moving them below the words across the page. My son likes the stories but he is easily distracted. He is more focused when he uses his fingers across the words but with this app he can't. Because of this we won't buy anymore level sets unless an update is made. On the plus side, questions are presented at the end of each story and words underlined can be touched and a new screen pops up with the definition (not many though).
