SECOND GRADE TO THIRD GRADE READERS will love this library of 12 books. Each Learning A–Z library contains ten books on that reading level, the free sample book for that level, and the free sample book for the next level to challenge readers to expand their reading skills. Developmentally appropriate sentence construction, vocabulary, and engaging illustrations make it easy for readers to feel confident about their skills.
Learning A–Z provides materials delivered online and through the iTunes Store that help children learn to read, write, and discover the wonders of science. All our materials are leveled so that children can access information at their developmental level. Our leveled readers begin at level aa with labeling objects. In level A simple sentences are presented. With each level thereafter the sentences get more complex and the words become a little more difficult.

ReadSmart is a set of patented technologies created by Language Technologies, Inc. for improving reading comprehension, speed, and enjoyment and is used in a variety of publishing fields. ReadSmart's algorithms analyze text to give document-specific results: the arrangement of text for a document is optimized while preserving the designer’s layout. Once a digital book has been created using ReadSmart technology, nothing is lost and it retains the look and feel of the printed edition, not a generic electronic document.
This App has SUCH great potential! It adds the right amount of motivation to get some kids to read! Huge downfall: you can't go back to the library once you have chosen a book. While you can hit the 'previous page' button to turn the book to the last page, it is not simple. An easy fix would be to enable to center area click for the HELP screen to have these features. It could say: Return to Library. Pleeeease add this update!!
I reviewed Laz Level O and there are the same problems with this level. I still plan on using these apps in my leveled reading groups but will make sure to emphasize that the students are careful to open the right book since you have to go through the whole book to get the option to go back to the library. Also, I will have to have a printed copy to refer back to pages since you can't go back and forth within the story.
There are only 10 level R books and 1 S, not 12 books.
