Get training with the most accurate running app for the iPhone. This app uses advanced algorithms that have been developed over the last 4 years to get you the most accurate distance and speed information for your outdoor activities.
With sound feedback this app will tell you real time how you are doing as you are working out and when you are done you can review your distance, time, calories burned, and route in the app.
Some of the great features of the app include:
* Keep track of calories burned
* Full control of the iPhone music player
* Review your saved runs on your phone or online
* Voice feedback at specified intervals
* See your mile split data on a map

You can also upload your data to the LogYourRun website for future review from any computer or device and you can share your accomplishments on your social networks. The app works in the background so you can safely turn off the screen to save battery knowing that the app will still keep track of your activity.
To help you with your training you can choose from several training programs ranging from getting started on regular walking or beginning to run all the way up to full marathon training.
The PRO version of this app includes additional advanced features such as exercise forecast, interval training, custom lap settings, and option to email data.

The first time the app is started it will ask for permission to use the GPS, which is used to measure the distance of your outdoor activities.
NOTE: This application uses background location. Continued use of GPS in the background can decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 5.4.2
- minor bug fixes
UPDATED: Good, but...
I can't get the link to work for tech support so I'll post here in hopes of reaching someone. I'm happy to update my review when the problems are mended.
I am training for a half, but know I'm coming up on needing new shoes. I use the LYRPro app to track my mileage. Its not tracking my miles. Yes, I can add, but I'm lazy.
I looked at my mileage logged through the app while at the running store. It was at 153. I just logged another 3.5 miles and the app still says I've only run 153 miles. I know Ive run more miles than that with the app open. Any idea what's going on?
Plus the email address box on the tech support form isn't working. I receive an error message when I try to submit without listing a return email.
I live in the boonies (aka: the country), so it's good to have accurate GPS readings. I've already run at least 1, 5k because it didn't register the distances while I was running. Frustrating for me as a beginner - because I over-exerted myself & was injured. I trusted the app so much to update miles or Ks. I don't know if it's my location, running around various wi-fi networks or not enough battery but that feature makes me want the expensive Garmin watch.
Very good app does what it says and does it well with one exception. There have been times with this version that a whole mile disappeared I know because the distance I would drive was 1.5 miles while this said only half mile. All others have been accurate enough and consistent
Great way to keep track of your running. Well worth buying!
