Use the ‘+’ buttons right in the log view to quickly log a food to a meal. The same goes for exercise- it’s quick and easy!
Smarter Add Food
We’ve made logging food that much easier by making our Add Food view smarter about which tab should open by default. We made the meal selection view easier to read while we were at it.

The Beginning of the Road
This app is very powerful for a free app. It gives you tools for mapping your exercise and calorie consumption throughout every day. I am 60 pounds overweight, and I have tried various approaches toward controlling my weight. Traditional "diets" and Weight Watchers did me no good at all. Seeing a nutritionist gave me the tools I needed to hold my weight steady, but my weight stayed stuck at its present level for years. My doctor is very interested in the latest trends in nutrition and he has had me adjust my diet accordingly. However, the pounds did not just roll off. What it boils down to is just old-fashioned calorie counting, and this app excels at doing that. When you first log onto the app, it asks you for your weight and your target weight. It then computes a daily calorie goal that will result in your losing the desired amount of weight in a reasonable amount of time. There are many tools for helping you do this easily from day to day, and there is also a feature that factors in exercise. As soon as I started using the app to log my calories, I found out immediately why I had not been losing weight; I have been averse to being hungry! Well, I will soldier on, and I hope that things continue to get better!
Military Man Getting in Shape
I always put in stellar workouts, but you can not get the slim figure that you want until you have a regimented and regulated diet. I found this a little hard to do, since I really just ate what I wanted to along side my extremely busy schedule. I really just grabbed food, scarfed it down, and got back to work without giving mind to how many calories I was consuming. Do not think that you are invincible to weight gain just because you work hard and exercise every day, the diet is a big part of it too. I found this out the hard way. I am not obese, but I have a little bit of a flabby tummy that I need to shred off. With the "lose it" app, dieting is extremely easy. You just input your health info, like your height and weight, and the rate of which you want to lose excess weight, and it automatically calculates a day-to-day calorie limit for you. You log the food you eat and the exercises you do each day, and the app maps your calorie loss/gain progress. I recommend this app to anyone who wants to get in shape. You just need the INTEGRITY and DISCIPLINE to follow through with the plan. Do not get discouraged, this app makes it easy, trust me.
I love this ap! I've been using it since Aug 2014. My goal was 30# by my bday in Feb. It is now Jan & I've made my goal. This ap made it easier than anything else I've tried. I did not even do any exercises to achieve my goal. I was able to do it by entering all my food/beverage intake per day & will-power not to eat more than I recorded. Because I also have a grocery/meal planner ap, I typically know in the AM what dinner's gonna be, so I usually record that in the AM before bfast. That way I would know exactly how many calories I'd have left for lunch, or snacking.
I usually let myself "cheat" 1 day per week and eat a few hundred calories over, just to stay sane! But I kept the will-power up not to cheat beyond that. I found after ~4weeks that I would feel too full or not hungry on my "cheat" days to eat that much.
Now my husband raves about the changes 30# made. I'm the weight bow that I was when meeting him @ 20yo!
I did not do the paid-for version, but I can clearly see how that version would help if you had diabetes or cholesterol issues, etc.
