The Mammut Safety App features a clinometer (to estimate the slope angle), a compass (to determine the slope exposition) and an altimeter. With the latest update, the application newly includes a risk check (to quickly define the level of risk on location) and an SOS function (to communicate your gps data to the regional rescue services and your number of choice). Furthermore the application also features the personal safety equipment requirements and links to all the avalanche bulletins worldwide. The Mammut Safety App is now available in 7 different languages.
The application is optimized to run on the mobile Apple devices listed below. Due to model-specific functions the following restrictions apply:
iPhone 4 and 3GS: All features, no restrictions.
iPhone 3G: All features, except for compass.
iPod Touch: All features, except for compass and altimeter.
Attention: The Mammut Safety App simply provides basic information for individual judgement depending on the situation - and no risk strategy decision. Mammut therefore assumes no liability for any casualties that happen while or after consulting the Mammut Safety App.

Feel safe in the snow thanks to Mammut's years of experience and Swiss quality.
What's New in Version 3.3
I am quite impressed with the creativity and usefulness of this app. Everything seems to work glitch-free. I found the "SOS" part cool and a smart idea.
I have one suggestion for future versions: Integrate the avalanche danger levels directly into the app, instead of having the user manually search for it. I also wish the while in the mini web browser, there were "back" and "forward" buttons.
Great for what it's worth
