What's New in Version 3.17
We hear your feedback:
"Medium, your 'cute' release notes are too confusing. Just tell us what is updated."
We understand, and in the interest of clarity and convenience we will now be acronymizing our change log. Now you can simply glance at the notes, see the easy-to-remember acronym, and quickly understand exactly what is in the release. We'll give you the key this time, but future updates will just be the acronym.
IN THIS UPDATE:
ISNBNAAM
- Improved the audio player UI for iPhone X
- Support audio playlists in the listen queue
- Now all users can listen to audio content on stories for members
- Bookmark/reading list buttons are more visually consistent
- Navigation to audio is available for all users via a home screen shortcut
- App could crash when it was updating the audio progress. This doesn't happen anymore
- Added an empty state to the bookmarks tab
- More consistent story previews
So now if your friend asks you what's in the Medium update you can just say:

Well considered interface design.
The interface is well crafted. The controls are simple and tailored to the rhythm of the context, meaning the functions and their purpose match whatever view you are looking at. I can appreciate this attention to detail. It is thoughtful and relevant. This is quite original and is surprising that it's not a plagiarized UI like so many others in this copy/paste industry.
