The best for OS 10.6
I have a very old MacPro and stuck with only 4GB of ram and with so many newer apps being such memory hogs I am always boged down. This is a really good app for seeing what is actually using up the memory and gives you the ability to kill thw worst ofender - Safari
It may not be the best at freeing up memory unless you use it to kill and then it is very good.
Hard to use...
UI is great but so big. Hard to use. Everytime you must to open program and click to free memory button… Program icon is ugly… Menu bar info so much you must to remove "free" sign just number enough. I tried almost every Freememory apps all of them unhandy. I want to when i click menu bar items free memory start right away. I love the bloop apps but they never improve to own apps...
Make the menu bar item customizable
Seems like a good idea, although there are several similar utilities offering the same features. My main issue is with the space taken up on an already cluttered menu bar. Please come up with something smaller—or customizable for those of us with a lot of stuff lingering in the menu bar.
