Gotta go with the real thing
I've been using Google Sheets for a few years now because it had the ability to share a spreadsheet on my desktop, iPad and iPhone. I had spreadsheets anywhere I wanted them. It worked OK, but the functionality of Sheets just isn't rich like Excel and there are really large bugs in that software (doesn't always calculate correctly). Then I saw that Microsoft fixed their pricing model and offered a cloud solution. Now I'm sharing spreadsheets among all of my devices, anywhere and everywhere but I'm also enjoying the full richness of the Excel application on all of those devices. I don't give Microsoft Kudos too often but I do give them credit on this one. Well done guys!
Finally excel steps into the cloud
I still use Google sheets for sharing info with my coworkers, like taking lunch orders. But I'm very happy to finally have excel in the cloud so I can do all the important stuff, like forecasting and cash flow, on excel and have it available to work on from all my devices. There are small bugs and little UX glitches when working on mobile devices, but overall, it's really well designed.
Very powerful spreadsheet
I was very disappointed with the version of excel that came with windows phone devices. It was so limiting as to be little more than a viewer. I didn't have high hopes for this, but I have been pleasantly surprised. It is, instead, far more powerful and feature rich than Apple's Numbers app or Google Spreadsheets, yet very intuitive with most features where you expect as an excel user, not buried in obscure dialog boxes requiring multiple clicks to get to.
Most of what I do with Excel 2016 in my Mac works just fine on my iPhone and iPad.
Highly recommended app. Well done Microsoft.
EDIT: I really wish you would fix the issue where I have to upgrade/activate multiple times a week, and sometimes a day.
