Microsoft remote desktop not working after last update

Everything has been working for almost a year with this application but with the last update, the application is not functioning. When I remote into my Windows server I receive a display of the computer without any icons on the screen. Rebooted both machines and reconnected, outcome was a little different I could now see the icons on the windows box but couldn't execute any of them. Walked down to the Windows server and the applications I attempted to start we're actually started just couldn't see them thru the remote software. We'll probably have to call Apple support to find out if the last update can be backed out.

Been 2 years, still missing basic functions and now even more functions have been removed

Updating my review now over a year later. Basic functions are still missing and a few features that were working have been removed making this a much harder product to use.

* No HighDPI support still, everything looks blurry. MS Is still hoping that reinta screens are a fad apparently
* No active resize for win 8/win 10. This was a feature that is available to windows since version 1 (win store app), but apparently sending a simple resize client signal is too much to ask. It’s one simple winsock call
* No horizontal scrolling, still…
* Copy & paste has been removed with El Capitan, no longer works
* Mouse cursor is still wrong in some places. Turns into an eye beam when it should be a link click, etc.

Has turned stale and the updates we get now are features that no one cares about or features they break that used to work.

STILL! Missing a Core Feature - Folders/Groups!

Simple as this: How hard is it to allow folders/groups of connections. The structure of folders already exists for “My Desktops” and “Azure RemoteApp”. I have hundreds of connection entries. I should not be forced to use a search box to find connections. There are times when I don’t actually know the exact name of what I’m connecting to but I know where the server is located. How am I supposed to find a connection entry like this?! “Just put that location name in the connection name” - is not a solution. It is unbelievable that this feature is missing!
