Needs more Improvement

I definitely would recommend someone who uses Microsoft, but there are few cons on this version. First it doesn't have all of the features as the Macs or etc... and you can't rename your documents, and also, you can't drag it into another file to organize your documents. The only I've been able to find out on how to move documents is to duplicate, change name, create file, and save. I have too many documents to save so before the update on making a folder, my files and documents are everywhere on my Microsoft account. This is way too out of hand. It would be so much easier if Microsoft would put in a drag and drop kind of thing as a feature so it would be easier to organize my files. Overall, it's a great app, and I would recommend it to anyone, but it still needs a lot more improvement... 😕
Uh, so UPDATE on what needs to be fixed: so recently, I was typing on my word. I saved it but I quickly realized that I had lost it. I had lots of files and had no choice but to look through ALL of them. That's when I thought, "how convenient it would be to be able to search and find a document easily" It took awhile but I found it and I'm glad I did, but I wish there was just an easier way to find it.

Issues with saving

I've run into an issue with saving documents on iPhone 6s. I've edited documents in Word two separate times, and when I tap the Save button (I turned off the Autosave feature) somehow my edits don't get saved. I end up with the original unedited document in my files, so I have to redo all my edits when I access the file on my computer.

This also seems to happen when creating new documents as well. I had a couple of pages worth in a document only for Word to save it as a blank document, so I lost everything.

This is extremely frustrating because I need to be able to create and edit documents on mobile whenever I don't have access to my computer. My iPhone is the only mobile device I have, so I have no other options except a new word processing app.

Good but teetering

I agree with all the very positive comments about Word. Microsoft has built a strong foundation. But......

Microsoft has always had issues with bloat: how to enhance a solid foundation is not an easy problem to solve. As features are added, does the software begin to show issues?

Unfortunately, Word on iPad Pro is starting to wobble. Recently, I've started to experience freezes that last 3-4 seconds. And, this freezing happens every 30 seconds or so. This happens when I'm editing a document or when I'm using the file browser, in or out of a Dropbox account. It gets very annoying when one has to stop and wait for the program to unfreeze in order to continue typing.

The other annoying aspect is that Microsoft is trying to wall-off which cloud services can be used. Why is there no iCloud access? Why can't I move files from one (say, Dropbox) to another (say, iCloud)? These are silly antics that admittedly is not unique to Microsoft. All developers seem to be resorting to this. Don't try to build walls to keep your customers in. Instead, innovate and make your product so good that no one wants to leave!
