It's not even fun anymore.
Ever since the armor update way back when, the game started to become extremely unfair. Since then, everyone who is level 110+ has the stupid Oni armor and some sort of tier-8 weapon that is way to over powered. The new core system just makes things worse. I mean really, what is up with the Dot Immunity? That is practically a developer approved immunity hack. Lastly, the rating system is just all out of whack. Before the recent update, if you won a Cargo Match, you got 25 points, and if you lost, you ended up subtracting 15 points. Now, winning a match gives you 3 to 10 points, and losing one means a nice 15-25 point reduction. Heck, time to time, I even lose points for winning a match (yes, I know it has to do with the amount of deaths you receive and the other players level, it's stupid). I've been playing this game ever since the free version was available. Back then, everything was simple' you got points when you won matches, and you lost them when you actually lost a game. And just about every player wasn't all decked out and next to impossible to kill with a the Mk7 Pr39 assault rifle. Lastly, the blueprint system is utter horsecrap. If you want to actually get a tier-6 through 9 weapon, you have to spend a ton of credits. Please change it back to the weapon XP system, you developers know what system I mean.
Please take some of these thoughts into consideration, and actually make this game enjoyable (and playable)!
Balancing is key... and Gameloft ran out of keys, would you like to buy new ones?
As any F2P game, this game has to make money out of adds and in app purchases, and balance between paid and normal players is achievable, but Gameloft just forgot all of that and gave the most OP weapons to the ones that spammed that "buy crate" button. Really sad that you can't play online for 1 day without running into people that 1 shot you with those prestige weapons everytime. When I got a discount to the Bounty Hunter and got it, noticed how OP was it going to be, as it has weapons that after 5 seconds it locks on the target's head and 1 clips them. That's paid weapons for you, otherwise you could try and grind, but get destroyed by weapons like the Grinder, which just kills anyone that gets touched slightly by a bullet. Second thing is that the add content in game is way to high, kills a lot the experience, and I've not seen any way of removing them, by paying or something. Last thing is how glitchy it can get to be, as SP cheats work on MP.... it could have been a gem in the App Store, but these details ruin it into P2W trash, at least Clash Royale tries to leave limits, but Gameloft? No limits on how many ways you could make money as long as its legal :/ plus, where is the "modern" aspect of the game? It is COD infinite Warfare all over again, but worse!
Ive been playing modern combat games since MC4. I remember the good old days of the tier 5 assault rifle being op and spinbotters spamming away with the grenade launcher. Even then I did not see it as a problem because of how fun the game was. The downfall of the game started with it becoming free to play. After making MC5 free to play, Gameloft slowly and noticeably made MC5 pay to win. It was heart breaking to learn that such a fun and favorite game of mine was being destroyed. I couldnt enjoy playing MC5 anymore after being killed countless time by noobs with op pay to win armour and weapons. Playing MC4&5 was good while it lasted but I wish it could have lasted a bit longer. This review is two years overdue, and I stumbled upon this when looking for a fps to play on the go (Im trying out Critical Ops). Sorry for rambling; I felt like talking about my experiences after reading so many reviews with thought similar to mine
