Password Manager with Cross Platform
Been using it for 3 months now it’s amazing how usable this can be versus others. I am not a fan of Cloud methodology for password management especially with multiple security data breach and how screw you can be when the organisation that you trust decide to to keep to themselves about loss of data due to their mishap. It could be you start realised how come the password you looking for have gone missing. Anything that I can control my data and where I store it is one for me. Coming from 1Password, using sync with Dropbox is of the past. I will not say autofill integration is better than 1Password but in terms of how much cross platform you get can get kills it plus with no additional costs.
Other than that it does not support attachment, new categories you add will not appear on browser extension. It still a great tools to have.
Myki is almost the perfect password manager. For $10 you get all pro features is quite a steal and really good to get you to start using a really well made password manager. Yet a few things really made me stop using this app.
First, even though this app is supported on almost all browsers, it really only “worked” on Chrome for me. I am an Opera user and yes I understand that it’s not a super popular browser but it shouldn’t be a completely different app based on what browser I’m using and if you say you support Opera, please actually support it and not just give us a watered down version. The 2FAfeature doesn’t work in Opera and it locked me out of sites because I couldn’t auth the browser.
Second, the CSV import system just does not work. I tried to export my passwords from Dashlane and for some reason would never save 80% of the passwords I tried to import even when the importer would recognize everything it needed to import the passwords.
Finally, it just doesn’t have a all of the features that I am looking for in a password manager. The 2FA feature is really cool, yet not being able to change your password through the manager or not having auto login like other password managers have are real turnoffs.
Once these two features are addressed I would gladly try this service again. I love Dashlane but is really expensive for what it is and think this could be a better alternative to it.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your thorough review, I just wanted to clarify some things
Opera's team has completely stopped responding to our updates, it's been almost a year and as a result our extension on their store is very old. We encourage our users to use the Chrome extension on Opera (it's very easy to install Chrome extensions on Opera)
Sometimes CSV imports are tricky depending on which service it comes from, the issue might also come from the fact that you're running an out-dated extension as we've made massive improvements to the CSV import process. If you're still having issues after updating, contact our support team via support.myki.com they will gladly help you clean that CSV up and help with the import!
You definitely can auto login by trusting the connected device from the Myki app, as well as change your passwords from the browser extension(probably a side effect of you using a very old extension from the Opera store)
Thanks again for reaching out, and do let us know if your experience improves after updating :)
What a refreshing change from its competitors
In all honesty, I was first drawn to this app for its privacy features and that it doesn’t keep my data in the cloud. In fact, it doesn’t even have access to my passwords and secure information, except for some metadata it needs to keep my information synched between my devices.
But I quickly fell in love with all the other features it has, not to mention it’s actually fun to use. The UX is great, but for my aging eyes, the UI could be a little easier to read...some of the fonts are tiny and/or difficult to read against the black background. E.g., the dark gray search icon should be white.
But I’m more than willing to put up with a little bit of bad to have all the good this app provides. Here’s a real world example. Out of the 114 logins I used on 1Password, over 17 of them will not autofill. In Myki, only two are problematic.
Another area in which this app excels is support. Using Myki is a paradigm shift from other password managers and it take some time to acclimate. I received very fast and professional replies to the few initial questions I had...something that’s not often seen these days.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with Myki, and it is very reasonably priced, as opposed to an expensive subscription.

Myki supports several ways of auto-filling passwords in login forms:
- Method 1 (Basic): Open the app, select an account then click on the 'COPY' button next to the password field to copy it to the clipboard. You can then paste it in any field that you wish to have it filled in.
- Method 2 (iOS12 Auto-fill): Myki can automatically fill usernames and passwords into apps and websites on your iOS12+ devices. To enable it go to the settings section of your phone then 'Passwords & Accounts' then 'AutoFill Passwords' and tick the Myki option. ( We also suggest that you deselect the native Apple option so that you dont store passwords in iCloud by mistake).
