FREE WEBCAM RECORDING
We created a software to capture your light painting using your webcam and your Mac or PC: It is called myLightPainting FREE. The best thing: In contrast to traditional light painting, you can see in real-time what you are doing! Try it online or download the desktop app at www.mylightpainting.com. There is also a PRO version for additional effects at your next party.
See the photos users have made at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/mylightpainting.
If you would like to propose additional light stencils or brushes, feel free to contact us with your idea at email@example.com. Or just say hello!
„myLightPaint Free“ is designed to be an intuitive, simple and versatile tool for both professional and amateur photographers or for people who just want to create fun light painting effects. If you want more ad-free light stencils and brushes, just upgrade to Pro.
This app requires an additional webcam or a camera capable of a long exposure in order to capture the light painting.
What's New in Version 1.1
Thanks for your amazing feedback. You can now use the proximity sensor to turn off the light! The brightness of the screen can be adjusted using a single touch gesture.
Needs better documentation
This app seems to be something that will display a glowing icon that you would then wave around with your hand. Then you would presumably be recording that with a video camera or time lapse/long exposure app for device.
Maybe there should be some better documentation that would show a video about how you set this up or just a diagram or some text or something to make it more clear how to use this thing. It seems like a good idea but I don't know how to use it.
I agree. How do you paint with your fingers? You just get patterns! Help?
How do you use it???? Like how do you get to where you can draw on the picture??? Messed up!! Lol
