Piece Of SH*T...I'm Uninstalling
For the last few years I've tried to watch EPL Soccer games using this app and MAYBE 5% of the time it works well without any glitches!!! It is constantly crashing (every 5 minutes) and then it freezes my iPad for a couple more minutes. I then have to exit the app, reload it, find my game and sit through more commercials before I can actually see the game again and then the cycle repeats.
I've installed every update when available with the hope that the new software will make this app workable and I've been disappointed every time. From reading the other comments on this thread it appears my experience is NOT unique.
It's interesting to me that when you use the "Watch ESPN" app it works seamlessly and has for sometime now. My hope that NBC would catch up at some point seems naïve, I mean look at where they are as a network, not one golden globe nomination recently!!! That would be hard to TRY and do!!!
This app is TERRIBLE and has been since inception!!! Don't waste your time with it like I did!!!
So much behind Europe
Yes, all comments you read before from other users are true. I do not even try to watch Live ski races because of problems with loading on my iPhone6. Even worse on my MacAir. So I watch replays. But WHY are major alpine ski events not available even as a replay? WHAT about ski flying events? After the Universal Sport Chanel is gone this is the ONLY source of visual presentation of world ski events, unless we go there in person. What a shame! How do you plan to attract more young people to the sport if they cannot seen it regularly on TV or video replays. Why is always your profit more important than education? And entertainment for the large audience, not only for the people with deep pockets. I learned how to FF over your recorded LONG black-out commercial breaks but it is not fun. Hopefully some of our country billioners could step in and support the cause.
Needs LOTS of work
NBC's coverage of the Premier League is genuinely great but I have significant issues with this app. It lacks any chromecast support which should be a given considering most sports steaming apps on iOS have it (even the genuinely horrid BeIn Sports app). It's level of advertising is genuinely invasive. If I want to watch a live match, having to miss game coverage because of car ads is infuriating. When it works, it works as well as any sports streaming app does. When it stalls or freezes (and it does occasionally), I just load it back up (of course to be greeted by yet another car commercial). If your app quality was close to your broadcast quality (I can't state enough how good NBC has done promoting the Premier League in the US), then this app would be wonderful. At this point it's a last ditch option when my laptop is stalling.
