Impossible to use with Apple Watch

When I initiated my first Nike+ run on the Apple Watch, it took a little while to actually begin the run, which was a minor annoyance. Then, after I got running for about a tenth of a mile of so, I looked at my watch and noticed that the distance readout on the watch is only updated after I lifted my arm and the screen came on. Still, a minor annoyance. I got running and didn’t look at the watch again for about ten minutes. This time, when I lifted my arm, all I saw was my standard watch face - no app at all. I suppose this is how all third party apps work on the watch, which is really annoying for an activity like running. I double tapped the digital crown on the watch to get back into the app, only to find that it hadn’t been measuring my run since the watch app exited, even though my phone was strapped to me. I don’t think that this failure was due to a limitation of the watch, otherwise, why would there be any third party running watch apps? Regardless, I didn’t get to track most of my run, and spent a good bit of time standing beside the trail fiddling with my watch (and eventually my phone) looking like an idiot. The watch extension - and maybe the whole app, judging from the other reviews - isn’t ready for primetime, let alone to be featured by Apple. I have run with Nike+ since the days of the shoe pod and the 1st generation iPod nano, but at this point, i’d have to recommend looking elsewhere.

Great motivator, one NEW suggestion

This app has been a great motivator because it lets you know how far you go and how fast, and complements you when you go every day, for instance. I even use it on cross country ski routes. Use it every day on my walks in town and hikes in the mountains.
I only have one suggestion: It would be great to have a button for adding a waypoint. Don't need to name it, just put maybe a letter on it, like A, B, C. That way I could mark significant spots on my run or ski.
OK, no response to that request, but the app has been greatly improved. ONE NEW REQUEST though is for a button to turn off the “Pausing Workout/Resuming Workout” voice. I know when I’m stopped, but I do like to hear the mileage markers. Presently you can only turn the sound off or on altogether. Hearing "Pausing/Resuming" constantly is quite irritating. PLEASE make this a separate control! Thanks!!
Thanks, Nike!

Don't get new update

I was moderately happy with this app until the new update. I didn't like that it didn't have a warm up or cool down choice so you could continue to listen to your music and make sure you cool down for an appropriate time. I also didn't like that I couldn't separate out when I was waking or running. It looked like I might be able to do so with this new update so I was kind of excited. I started the app after the update and got everything set up, however when I went to actually run, it said I need to walk around to set the sensor. I went ahead and tried this. 10 minutes later the sensor still hadn't calibrated. I figured maybe it was my location so I tried it later at two different locations. I still couldn't get the sensor to calibrate. I give up. I've deleted the app and am trying something new. Good luck.
