Disappointed. Flaky intermittent connectivity through the App WiFi never seem to connect
I’ve used norton products since they were first available many years ago and I hate to give one a bad review, but this one needs A LOT more work. VPN connectivity works ok on cellular data but occasionally flakes and slows unnecessarily and I need to reset my phone. WiFi networks have not worked after a brief period after installing the app. My iPhone says it’s connected, the Norton’s app says I’m not and my iCloud backups will not run automatically or manually. I’ve got the latest iPhone and latest iOS and it still seems to run like this. It seems like some protocols may be way off or being too aggressively blocked on this app. ( I’m a former IT Admin ) I’ve tried it at multiple secured WiFi networks from corporate to my home network and it’s definitely not my phone. I’ve tried turning the app off in its settings to try to see if it gets better and the app automatically turns itself immediately back on. The minute I uninstall the app my phone speeds up A LOT more ( hugely noticeable) All WiFi networks connect just fine and my iCloud backups start working just fine again. I’ve removed the app for now and I’m looking for alternatives that will actually work as I’m not willing to continue troubleshooting a product that should just simply work and work well.

Well they let me use this app as a Comcast customer for free on my iPhone 📱 and when I try to install on my IMac computer deseme app they don’t let me doing without a payment, it’s ridiculous, if you wants to be on top and make your customers happy please doing right and just half it like you Ben doing, you are multiple milionarian company and we don’t dell with terrorism treats here on US too be needed to pay $7.99 a month for your VPN protection on computer, and if some thing happy regardless my internet protect I will call FBI and no Norton, so that means it make not sense at all you try to Extortion your customers like that, i’m fully disappointed with you do you doing this. And plus you don’t need to change my IP address when I went to check my IP address online it’s still the same. Hotspot Shield DOS change my IP address I eve connect all over the world for free with a different IP address. Your app don’t eve change my IP address, and you don’t let me use on computer without pay? Bullshit😡

When NORTON updated their mobile security for iPhones they did no one any favors. The new version at noted by another reviewer often does not recognize my Wi-Fi network and says I am not connected when in fact I am. And the I have to disconnect and and reconnect in order for the Norton app to recognize the network. The other main problem, and this is even far more aggravating in my opinion is the amount of battery that this app use while running in the background. Upon checking I find that over a 10 day period the Norton app had taken up 32% of the battery usage. Over the next 10 days it had eaten up 36% of the battery usage. I got one have better things to do than continually worry about keeping my phone charged because an app is eating up all the battery life. I have removed the app from my phone. I might check at some point in the future to see if Norton has addressed and fixed these issues.
