Update (March 2015)
The live preview is an interesting addition that I could do without. It slows the loading significantly. Sadly, it seems they no longer show the the time a movie/show starts and ends, just the run time. It is far more helpful to see the start and end time versus "140 minutes." Please bring that back!
Also, I would appreciate seeing the movie release year. And why isn't there an option to open in the Guide? Some of us would love to go straight to the Guide on startup automatically. The video previews make it much slower to load than it used to be.
Some channels don't load at all, and when I click on a show's name, it doesn't show the right information.
I find both the white and dark backgrounds more difficult to read than the previous version.
Personally, I don't care for the cast and crew listing that now cover the movie poster. It's rare that I want cast/crew info, and I go to imdb for the few times I want that. I found the full movie poster more helpful, and that is no longer visible. Just include a link to imdb and allow us to decide if we want to pursue the information.
This just has a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles. All I want is a fast and easy to read guide. I wish I hadn't upgraded.
Love being able to personalize the channel lineup. Viewing only my preferred channels is SO much better than having to scan hundreds of ochannels, most of which I don't even receive. Thank you!!
I'm visually impaired so I was excited to see that a dark background now exists as a choice. However, it is difficult to tell when shows end and begin. The border color between shows needs to be lighter when using the dark background. Also, I think many people would prefer bold black lettering on the white background. It would be easier to read. I have never understood why the font was so light on the white background. It is difficult to read. Keep making improvements for accessibility!
I don't even know how I ended up with this app… I think it appeared after I upgraded my software. The only good thing I can say about it is that I liked the live preview of the channels, but I could never get a broadcast lineup that matched my version of Time Warner Cable! I tried many of them, including the ones listed for my city, but the channels weren't the same and many were missing.
