We'd be happy to see some examples of codes that didn't scan.
For best results, make sure your codes are a reasonable size - zoom in if possible. If they still don't scan then maybe you need to look at your barcodes and how you create them. Part of the purpose of this app is to check that your barcodes *will* scan, of course.

Needs some work
Okay, if I had known what sort of bar codes I was trying to decode, it would have helped, because I could have avoided paying for this half-baked utility which does not support the CODE-128 codes that it turns out I have. I call it half baked because there is NO documentation in the “about” section of the app, and absolutely no diagnostic info is offered if a code can’t be read either due to a software malfunction, or simple lack of support for the barcode being scanned. Also, why should the “quit” menu item read “Quit sdfsdf”? How am I paying five bucks for software that includes superfluous, inexplicable gibberish on its menu?

Thanks for your feedback. Apologies for taking such a long time to respond - we didn't have the ability to respond directly when you posted your review.
I think you're referring to a early version of the app. Menus were tidied some time ago.
Unfortunately, Code-128 is still not supported, just the main retail codes as listed in the apps description in the Mac App Store.
The purpose of the app is to detect and scan barcodes, not to diagnose potential issues with barcodes. If a code isn't detected then it's not down to a "software malfunction" but to no readable code being detected in the area you scanned.
There's no documentation, mainly because the app has a single button with instructions on how to use it written above it. If you need more detail then please feel free to contact us via our support URL.
