Easiest refund ever! Great after hours support!
I realized, a month after I sent a payment to a friend, that it was still in pending status. I had forgotten a 'dot' in the beginning of the email address.
I went to the app on my phone, brought up help, chose contact PayPal and sent an email. It was after hours so I thought I'd hear from them the next day.
Shortly after I received a 'form letter' email back. It gave basic information on what to do in a particular instance, and said "if this doesn't help, reply to this email with more details." I replied, explaining my error, and at 1:40 this morning, less than 7 hours after my initial contact, I had a full refund that I was able to pass on to the correct friends and family email account. Again, VERY USER FRIENDLY. I thought I'd have to fire up the laptop or make a phone call the next day. I'm very impressed.
Good overall experience
I've had my PayPal account for years and years and it's only been in the last 2 years or so that I started heavily using it and it's been a great deal of help with everything from personal transactions to business transactions. I have had a few bumps in the road here and there, but it's stuff that honestly you'd deal with if you were dealing with just about any regular bank also. So I continue to use it, as of this moment it's the only way I feel I can safely and reliably send and receive money. I've never had the problem of people not getting money or not receiving money in my bank that people talk about here. Does it take time? Sure. But if you did the same thing through an actual bank it would usually take the same amount of time. 3-5 business days is a standard banking quote for time things will take.
I have used Paypal for about 10 years, and even if Ebay did not require me as a seller to have it, I still would. I have found is the safest card available. Several years ago, someone hacked me and use my card to purchase kids games in Belarus. I called Paypal who promptly set me up with an investigator. The problem was resolved the very next day and the money was back in my account. Unlike banks who tend to fight you tooth and nail when you claim you were hacked or somebody else used your card, Paypal does a quick investigation and uses common sense to know that you are telling the truth and promptly backs up their word. I would never be without Paypal and the card they provide. I would definitely suggest that the key be used as added security, as I have never had a problem cents and use it a considerable amount of time.
