Almost as nice as the dice game
Setting aside hyper play, this is a very nice representation of the dice game I've played for years. The dice are visually represented, you get to shake the can, and scoring is done the same way. All in all very well done. True, it's difficult to play the ultra fast version, so I don't play it. I like to think out my moves. You get used to not physically sorting out dice which I feel is kind of a crutch anyway. Like playing video poker, you can see which dice you want to keep and which you don't, and keep the appropriate ones. You don't have to line them all up to see!
If I do have a minor complaint it's that it's impossible to save games. I hate coming back to a game later and getting the new game opening, and for kicks it would be nice to play a virtual opponent. But the save feature I have always felt is vital in any game app.
Needs option to manually reorder dice
Once I figured it out, it's not bad, could be better. Needs an option to manually reorder dice in the tray to show what is missing from runs and sets. I don't like how wilds & numbers just get grouped together. Gets really confusing as to what is missing and what is still needed.
I play phase 10 all the time. This version is just confusing and tedious to play. The dice land upside down and sideways so they are difficult to read. The computer decides where your wild cards go so you have no control. I think there are different versions but can't quite figure out what they are. Buy the original and save your money
