Meet the Hue app. The amazing way to control every Philips Hue product in your home. All from the palm of your hand or from your wrist with the Apple Watch.
With Hue, you’ll see light in a whole new way. It lets you set the ideal lighting for every occasion. It’s clever, intuitive and connected. It‘s a whole new experience.
We call it PERSONAL WIRELESS LIGHTING.

At its heart, Hue is a lighting solution for the home. It’s functional and practical. But it can also be emotive and inspiring. It’ll change the way you think about home lighting. Forever.

PLEASE give this app an overhaul
Trying to read the names of the scenes makes my eyes bleed. White glowing text on a rainbow/yellow/orange background? It reminds me of web pages in the 90's. It's awful.
Sharp white text on a black background would be perfect for a lighting app.
The app needs a more intuitive way to create and edit scenes.
A better color picker which gives the option for more precise color choices and brightness percentages.
Siri on the Apple Watch is hit and miss, and slow. The watch displays that Siri has turned the lights on for up to 30 seconds after the lights have been turned on. Why so long?
A few second "Siri reply" is all that's needed. No need to tie up the watch for up to 30 seconds AFTER the command has been completed, forcing the user to push the Digital Crown to dismiss the reply and use the watch.
I can tell a lot of work has gone into the tech for these bulbs and networking. PLEASE bring the app up to that same level of craftsmanship.
DONT use the hue app!
Disappointing. Widget is broken. It's like they don't test these updates. That's the only feature I use daily. I pull down the window shade and it states NO CONNECTION TO BRIDGE. I have performed a manual factory reset on the bridge, deleted the app, restarted my iPhone (9.0.2 on a 6+), and then reinstalled the app. Even set up all my scenes as new. Same issue. It's a bug.
Also, why have an apple watch app if it runs like molasses and it's faster to pull your phone out anyway. Put the app logic on the watch, hue. Make it worth something.
I LOVE my hue lights but really hate the app that they have not put time into. It shows. Thank you.
My hue bulbs have been working flawlessly with the hue app and there are many options which is good for what I need. The bulbs themselves may be pricey. But they are much more reliable than most smart bulbs you can get today. Overall it's just been great!
