Customer Reviews

I would give it more stars because I enjoy Pinterest and still find it useful and convenient for what I primarily use it for, however there have been some marks against them lately.

The updates haven't affected me the way it has for some other users, however, I don't think constant changes are really necessary aside from bug fixes and things of that nature. One other thing I dislike is how every time you're on the browser and view anything linked to Pinterest it automatically opens in the app. I liked the idea in theory, and it's certainly better than not being able to view anything in the browser unless you log in, but, in my opinion, it's become kind of annoying.

Aside from that I don't have any major complaints. If there was anything I'd add to Pinterest, I think it would be cool to have the option of having secondary boards within a board. A sub category, if you will. For example, if you had a board specifically for your home, maybe have the option to organize the board further instead of having to make an entirely new separate one. Maybe it's just me, but I pin so many things and it tends to get lost among the others, and making a whole bunch of individual boards just makes everything less organized and cohesive.

Hate the change!

First off, I absolutely love Pinterest and have been using it fairly regularly for a few years now. I installed the latest update (5.6) and initially noticed no difference. But I then viewed my profile tab and was very disappointed. I really, really dislike the new look. I do not find it user-friendly or visually appealing. I really hate how the boards are no longer small and horizontally displayed with the pinner's chosen preview picture below the board name. This makes it very difficult to find a specific board that I'm looking for or to browse other pinners' profiles to see what they have. I believe that organization is kind of the whole point of Pinterest, and I not only organize my pins, but my boards as well. I like to organize them by category (ex: my winter clothing board, summer clothing board, and swimwear board would all be in a row), but there is no longer any other option for board organization except A-Z and most recent. I can't tap, hold, and move my boards around anymore! This makes it even more difficult for me to find a board that I want to refer back to. I do like how there are tags listed for each board and I think that was a good idea, along with any other changes that were made. My main problem is just with the visual appearance and organization. I sincerely hope that this will be changed soon.

Hate new changes!

First you change how my personal boards appear to me and make it harder for me to review boards and find items that I have saved in the past. Today while trying to post a photo to one of my boards, the screen went blank and switched to a screen that instructs me that I must choose five more categories of pins to add to my feed. I tried to exit out of the screen as I do not want to add more categories to my feed, but could not exit out of the screen.
There was nothing I could click on to opt out of this feature. I backed out of the app thinking if I went back in that screen would be gone, but it was not. It will not let me proceed with Pinterest without adding five more categories to add to my feed. My question is this Pinterest, whose feed is this? I am tired of you pushing pins on me that I have no interest in or putting pins in my feed that I have already have on my boards. Add to that the advertising pins that are now in my feed.
I like my feed just the way it is and it enables me to see pins of the people that I follow. If I want to find a certain item that I don't see in my feed, I will use your search function. I don't have time to scroll through pin after pin after pin of things that I'm not interested in. It defeats the purpose of having this app in the first place.
