Pocket First Aid & CPR from the American Heart Association helps save a life in Haiti. Read the incredible story of Dan Woolley, who survived 65 hours under rubble using this application. As seen on CNN, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, London Daily Mail, NPR, and many more. http://bit.ly/7LgxSu

This application is designed for the general public and is not meant to substitute for full CPR and first aid training, nor is it meant to be used by a healthcare provider in a professional setting.
What's New in Version 4.0.1
Good -- But could be better
This app has great information and the UI is clean and easy to navigate. I don't regret my purchase.
However, if my infant or spouse or friend is choking or unresponsive, I'm going to be flipping out. I've been in several emergency situations before and just dialing 911 in a bad situation can be harder than you'd imagine when you're freaking out.
To make this app perfect, I would like to see a button on the emergency "Emergency Now!" items which talk me through the steps of what to do (like AED's do). Count compressions for me, keep the beat, tell me when to break from compressions to breath for the patient, put a big "DIAL 911" button on there and show my current address (if I'm out or at a friend's house, for example).
I know these aren't trivial changes for the developers to implement overnight, but it would take this app from "Reference" to "Must Have Life-Saving App".
Love this app
I love this app it can assist you save a life in the minutes it takes emergency crew to get to the scene and take over. Plus it can help emergency crews in the case that you are the one in need of help. You can create a custom wallpaper to notify emergency crew where to look for life saving information. But a note to iPhone 5 users the wallpaper is a little wider than the phone so you need to size the wallpaper when setting it to the lock screen
I have been looking for a medical record app for my IPhone. This app fits the bill and also has the First Aid manual and videos. I am a child care provider who has to keep current with my Red Cross training. This app gives peace of mind that I will follow the correct steps in an emergency. I also like that I now have on my phone the basis medical information on myself, my husband and the children we care for.
