Pomodoro Timer helps you boost your productivity using the Pomodoro Technique™, one of the most effective time management methods out there. Not only will you get a fully configurable timer that lets you customize every aspect of the technique, but you will also enjoy a clear and beautiful user interface.
There are five basic steps to implementing the technique:
1) Decide on the task to be done
2) Set the pomodoro (timer) to 25 minutes
3) Work on the task until the timer rings
4) Take a short break (3-5 minutes)
5) Take a longer break (15–30 minutes) every four "pomodori"
With this app you can:
• Set your target number of pomodoros per day
• Choose your alarm sound from 6 harmonious and clear sounds, or just leave it muted
• Customize the pomodoro length.
• Customize the short and long break length
• Turn ticking sound on/off. Ticking continues playing when the app is in background if you want to.
• Choose how many pomodoros you want to do between long breaks
• Restart your daily progress by hand or automatically at midnight
• Start/pause/stop the current timer
And of course… you can close the app whenever you want, and you will receive notifications when your break time is up or you have finished your pomodoro.
It's time for you to earn those breaks and get to work NOW!

Very Productive, Definitely worth the money
The app is a customizable timer. You can create breaks which act as intervals. (Every 25 minutes There is a 5 minute break). That alone is very helpful with staying on task because it will remind you when your break is over, or when it has started. So far, this is the only app I've seen that offers that.
Next is the notifications. I haven't quite figured out how to work the alarm properly, but it is supposed to alert you at the beginning and the end of each timer. I have only had the app for a week, so I'm sure with time I will figure it out.
One thing that would make the app incredible is if you could title each Pomodoro (what the app calls each timer). This way, once a break has ended, the app would tell you exactly what you need to start working on, somewhat like a todo list.
All in all, the app is well worth your money. It makes productivity more convenient and less stressful.
I recently made the transition from a typical 9-5 job lifestyle in which a manager is always present to ascertain that you stay on task. As a young woman I am now on the journey toward developing my own business with external clients and no one "above me" to double-check my progress. What a new lesson on executive functioning (psych & behavioral term: self-disciplinary habits that lead to the accomplishment of long term goals)! Distractions are more accessible than they ever were so I googled apps that help people stay focused and found this one. Exactly what I needed! I abide by it and am able to accomplish a lot in one day and still take little breaks. What a brilliant and practical app! As a programmer and designer I can honestly say I hope to derive an idea just as simple and useful!!! Good going guys. :)
Really 4.6 but I rounded up
Overall the tool delivers. I am in the middle of a demanding eMBA program. Beyond food, sleep and work, study must be fit in. The pomodoro app helps me keep pace after 8 hour day at work with a great cadence of work then breaks.. And keeps me honest in amount of work dedicated to studying..
The -.4 is that it really needs a way to share your weekly or monthly work input and to tag the work as "school" or "work" or "training" so you could track projects in a lite but meaningful way..
Petty, but I rounded up and give a 5 stars as the UI is clean and features are easy to use..
