Finally, a task manager that isn't a task in itself to use
I have Priority Matrix on every machine and device I use. In the past I have been excellent at making lists. Often though the number of items would grow daunting. When working with priority matrix I create long lists as always. Everything starts off as uncategorized or not critical not important but then I move items that are more critical and immediate to the critical and immediate box and focus on those for the day. I move things out and in to different categories as priorities shift. The drag and drop makes it easy. The fact it is on all my devices allows me to add and change anywhere I am. I work on multiple projects and there is a means by which to see all the tasks for all the projects so you can make a choice where to focus. I have tried lots of solutions and one was so complicated it was a chore in itself to use. Priority Matrix is really simple to integrate into my personal and work-life. For me, Priority Matrix hits the sweet spot of value for effort. It is a wonderful companion to a busy life. Update - 1. Every contact with the PM team is answered promptly. 2. There is now a browser version which is really useful if you can't load software on your work machine. I would like a matrix that is an organization of all the matrices so that balancing across projects is a bit easier.
I like being able to see four different categories of tasks at once - gives a nice overview. It would be nice if they'd update the very limited selection of icons to use with each item - no new ones for years. That may seem like niggling, but for those of us who think visually the icons help to categorize tasks and identify those categories quickly. Wouldn't mind not being nagged every time I try to manually sync ("Auto sync is turned on - Force sync anyway"). Yeah - I want to force a sync every time I hit the sync button - what's the problem?
Great app... But far too expensive
I've been using the matrix system on paper for some time so when I ran across this app I was pretty excited. It works great! Syncs great! Looks great! So why the negative review?
At $99/year subscription for a single user it is much too expensive. Unfortunately that means when my trial is done tomorrow I'm done. It would be worth paying a one time fee or a much smaller annual subscription, but $100 bucks a year is over priced.
