What's New in Version 1.1
Fixed problem where sound would shut-off in sleep mode with iPhone OS 2.2.
Nice interface, some suggestions
I got this when it was offered for free as I am used to using ambient sounds to help me nap or sleep. The interface is very easy to use. I love the fact that there is a timer. The low frequency rumble is so good at masking sounds and relaxing me that that alone makes this an app that I highly recommend to insomniacs. I don't get why people like white noise. It sounds far too harsh to me. The raging river is so raging that it would wake the dead. The distant helicopter? Huh? Where is the stakeout? The car chase? Please add brown noise, the soft hum of a jet interior in flight, quiet water sounds, breeze in trees, etc. If you are thinking of getting a noise app for napping or sleep yo should grab this one simply for the low frequency hum - it will do the trick.
Wonderful 5 star ap for tinnitus
I shot machine-guns in Vietnam and damaged my hearing in the process. Immediately I started having tinnitus. In 2005, I simply could no longer stand the noise in my head and I paid $6,000 out of my own pocket for having this treated at the Callier Clinic in Dallas, Texas (the VA was no help at all).
This ap on my iPhone provides me great comfort during the day when I try and doze off for a nap, or when simply needing a break from the tinnitus. I'm very glad I found it.
See my machine-gun and me in Vietnam and my story on my Flickr account. Do a Google search "19 year old machine-gunner Vietnam High Above Texas" and you should find me.
good, but needs help.
the noises sound all too the same and are a little harsh. I loveeee the layout of the app and the timer is easy to use and handy. personally though I wouldn't pay for it. it needs a lot of work. please have updates!
