TOUR GUIDE AS YOU DRIVE AROUND ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
If you like driving yourself when you go sightseeing, GyPSy Guide™ tour apps allow you to enjoy a guided tour experience while remaining totally independent. By driving yourself, you'll be able to get from place to place faster, see more things and not be tied to anyone else's schedule.
DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES
The tour apps use your device’s location abilities to play the commentary AUTOMATICALLY. All you have to do is drive, listen and decide which places you want to stop at. Our tour guides have created an insightful and entertaining tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. We’ll recommend the best places to experience and some great locations that most visitors will drive by.
GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice.
EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL
It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide.
The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule.
No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country.
DRIVING TOUR ROUTE
Start the tour from either Estes Park or Grand lake. The tour includes the most popular sightseeing and much more:
1) Trail Ridge Road
2) Old Fall River Road
3) Alpine Visitor Center
4) Bear Lake
5) Horseshoe Park
6) Rock Cut
7) Gore Range Overlook
The tour is designed that you can drive it one way from either side or you can drive from one entrance to another and then back. The commentary provides all the major highlights each way, but different stories depending on which way you go.
Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. If you have a limited data plan, its recommended to download over a WiFi network.
++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle.
** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine.
GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning audio tours along scenic drives around the world. Enjoyed by travelers who prefer to set their own pace and itinerary on vacation, but enjoy a fun, informative and educational guided experience. Our goal is to provide a great introduction to the region and perhaps inspire you to learn more and return. None of our apps include paid advertising or placements for benefit.
* Updated tour content.
* Tour will now keep playing in the background even if you use other apps.
* Tour will also keep playing if you turn the screen off (not shut down of course!) and will help save battery if you do not have a cigarette lighter-style of car charger with you.
* You can play your own music in the background and the tour commentary will decease music volume to play audio commentary.

Our new friend!
We started using Gypsy Guide out in Yosemite and now will not go anywhere without it. The information is spot on VALUABLE to let you know everything you need while driving the National Parks. The information about the history of the park is so fascinating!
The only thing I would like and it may be out there is information BEFORE you plan your trip like times to enter and leave the park due to crowds. What is the best things to see and do while in the park. All that information is in Gypsy, just it plays while you are already in the park or going in to the park so it is kind of too late.
THIS APP IS A MUST TO NAVIGATE THE NATIONAL PARKS!

Thanks Himandherr. Appreciate your feedback. Looking at best ways we can add more trip planning information for those who like to read, while keeping it simple for those that just want to drive and go! So many great stories about the history, characters & animals to share. Keep exploring. #gypsyguide
Worth the money!
My husband and I visited RMNP for the first time last week. It was rather frustrating to lose all cell service upon entering the park and we felt “lost”. We decided to purchase this app before we drove the Alpine Ridge Trail hoping it might give us some guidance. We were wowed! It was as if we had a tour guide with us throughout the drive. I loved all the information it provided about RMNP, the side stops and the animals that we might see during the drive. This app is well worth the money.
Awesome Tour guide!
We purchased this app after seeing it in the visitors center brochure. We’re so glad we did. The drive in Rocky Mountain National Park is spectacular, but the guide-points, history, and tips were just outstanding. It helped us decide where to stop and what to look at. We didn’t miss any turns we wanted to see, and we could pass by the ones that we weren’t as interested in. Very well worth the purchase.
