A simple 3D-type maze.
How to play:
First, you are in south west corner of 20x20 dungeon.
Your purpose is to get Treasure and then reach to goal at north east corner.
Right icon is compass(red sign towards to north),and left icon is radar(blue sign towards to Treasure. If you got Treasure, radar disappear).
Touch buttons with arrow, then you can move or turn.
Fun for those that remember these simple vector based games...
...but the implementation is flawed. Once you find the treasure, the timer should stop, your score should be recorded and you should have the option to start a new game. Instead, once you find the treasure, the timer keeps going, the "high" is always 9999 and the only way to restart to to quit the game and relaunch. For those that don't understand how to play: picture yourself in a hedge maze (like in the movie version of the shining) and the blue triangle is showing which way the treasure is located. You can only move or turn into an open area (not a complete four-sided wall [top, right, left, bottom]). The idea is to find the treasure as quickly and in as few moves as possible (even though the game doesn't track the latter.)
It's okay, after a while. But I got lost and angry. It got confusing. The walls aren't actually 2D, and when you're looking around, it seems like you've been going in circles, for hours.
It's a good game and takes time, after a while, but I got annoyed too. Needs a tool to tell you if you're getting closer to the goal.
But really fun, reminds me of the old screen savers on the computer, I use to watch for hours.
You need to be a really laid back person for this type of game, or a person that likes solving puzzles like this one.
The other reviews are nuts!
This application looks great and works great! It's a remake of RatRun, one of the first and coolest videogames ever made, which I played endlessly on the Commodore64 back at the beginning of the 80's. Compared to that the graphics are ultra-high tech and super-realistic. I can't believe people would complain about such a cool game that works perfect and is offered for free. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Thanks for the blast from the past!
