Great idea, terrible execution
This should be the best way to rent a car. Unfortunately it's nothing but hassles. First they were late. The driver was apologetic, but the in-app chat support people were not. Felt like I was talking to robots. Then when the car arrives, the "inspection" feature doesn't load, so I can't note damage. They also told me fuel was marked as 0.88 of a tank on delivery, when in reality it was 0.75. I sent photo of odometer and gas reading. I've now spent three days checking back in to make sure they updated the gas, so I don't get charged extra, and they haven't yet. Apparently it requires "engineering" to go in and do that. The last thing support told me was that if I do get charged extra for gas, management would "be happy" to change that for me. Excuse me? These people couldn't care less, it seems. Shame cause it could be my go-to rental car option in LA! Oh and they gave me a decent car, but it had no plates, only a temporary Florida tag in the window (this is in LA), despite not being brand new. Not exactly a problem, just odd, and a bit sketchy. Like the operation overall.
Great idea, but forgot about the details
First time I used skurt my driver passed my house twice and was miles off track I had to give them directions. Once I got my rental the car alarm didn't want to turn off. So I had to wait for a new car to be delivered in which the new driver had to come all the way across town.
So today I decided to give skurt a 2nd chance. I'm 8 months pregnant and the car smelled real strong of smoke and the reverse camera is blurry as hell. I think It's the details that keep the customers coming back.
